They are really causing me problems. Well, not me personally, but my neighbors complain all the time about them(not to me, but to everyone else and I hear about it through the grapevine!). We have no fences around our houses, which I don't think would help anyway.
Is there any kind of anything, powder, scents, noisemakers, ANYTHING that can keep them contained? (Not tying them up, either,!!!LOL!!! I have three adults all fixed. I have one cat in the house that would tear me a new one if I brought another cat in, let alone three. I just thought I would ask. I know it is irritating when someone elses' things bother you, so I do understand their side, I just want to have my cats and have happy neighbors. Thanks! SD

i really dont know of anything, short of building them an elaborate cat house with an enclosure so they can still enjoy the outside, cats are natural roamers they dont stay home or in their own yards, they like to explore and hunt the more sparse the prey becomes the further they will roam, besides the obvious over population problem that is why there are so many in shelters, someones fluffy went out hunting and ended up in the shelter as a "stray",even though we have a twenty acre farm my neighbor up the street from us still complains my cats are in her barn occasionally, apparently her barn mice are tastier than ours,i have no great thoughts on how to make your neighbors happy ...cats are cats but to keep your kitties safe and always returned to you please put some type of identification on each of them and also a reflective device so they can be seen at night

The only thing to do is build the cats an outdoor enclosure. Have a long talk with your indoor cat, beg if you have to...ask permission to bring in the other 3 cats.
I'm in the process of building a 2nd outdoor enclosure for my cats. The first one they can access from my bedroom, the other one will be the front patio. Better than having the neighbors trap them and dump them somewhere.

Hard to do because cats are hunters and if left outside they will follow whatever no matter what so, maybe keeping cat food outside, or try planting a couple of cat nip plants outside your house but that could attract more cats so. It is hard. Put come chairs outside where they could nap, I had a cat who used to come to my house every day and sit on my patio chairs that I had under the shade, he would lay there for hours, until night time, then he was gone.

Bring the cats in the house, the other cat will get used to them in time. I have 4 ten yr old cats 2 one yr olds and 2 four month olds and they all get along fine, it just take a few days of them getting used to each other.

Keep the cats indoors at all times. Do not allow the cats to roam. Why should your neighbors put up with your cats using their garden as a public toilet?

they make these wireless fences, which is just these markers that you place in the yard along the boundaries that you want to keep the pet in, then you put a collar on the pet, and if it gets close to the line of markers it will get a small electrical shock. It will keep them in, but not hurt them

Invisible Fence....but then the wild animals will eventually get a hold of them....I've heard there's a 70% chance that'll happen.

Try the invisble fence. It works for dogs and I have heard it works for cats too.
