September is a nice time weather-wise. The times I've been there it has been around 70 F the warmest times of the day and perhaps 55 at night which makes it great for sleeping without air conditioning. It can rain but generally not a lot. You should at least take an umbrella and some shoes that do well in wet conditions just in case. Take a sweater or light jacket for the evenings or if it is cooler than normal in the daytime.

most of the time weather in September is really good with some temperature around 75/80 the night will start to be more fresh around 60/65 and it can be rainy unfortunately so it's better to have a light jacket ready, and since the month of august is one of the most rainy for the last decade after they had an heat wave in June and July it's hard to really tell what will be the weather

Paris is similar to DC. If you come from a warmer weather area, bring a jacket and pants. However, if you're from the North. It's unlikely you'll be cold so just bring a light jacket.
