Hello,

I have the sickle cell trait, the only way i found out is when i was young and the doctor tested me and my family told me that i have the trait not the actual thing.

You have to have an abundance of iron intake, not too much.

If you aren't a fan of tablets or pills as they say....try fruits and vegatables.

Take care

Approximately 10% of the african american population is affected with sickle cell anemia (the most frequently affected demographic, as it is less than 0.5% in other populations), an autosomal recessive genetic trait. It can cause many problems with your health, from peripheral vascular disease, to hypoxic diseases, to nutritional deficits because of poor cellular structure.

The best thing you can do is good diet, exercise, and get followed up with your physician REGULARLY
