It is true as much as the rest of your internal organs are.
They function 24 hours, 7 on 7 and they don't ask for holidays.Once in awhile they go on strike and demands a sickleave making you awfully rotten on the outside trying to recover from the illness but for the rest you may as well consider them as loyalist,an avid fan that will stick around til the last drop of your engine runs.
They make sure that everything is flowing smoothly and that no traffic jams will be encountered and leave behind a mess that may cause complications.

Amazing how organize they are in making sure you feel good and look healthy everyday, huh?!
< ..an addition to ponder on from your active mind :) >

It's pretty active while you're asleep, but I think it can be more active during the day than it can at night (not all the time of course). But when you're watchin TV your brain is at its least active state - the only time it is less active is when you're dead!

I think so. Because I have trouble sleeping at night. When I get still, in the bed.....my brain just starts thinking of all kinds of things. It actually causes me stress for this to happen...so now...I take anxiety medication....be even that don't help all the time.
