most of them don't read the bible..They do not know any better, most of them just listen to interpretations of religious lunitics and follow their words blindly like sheep never reading the truth for themselves......because of this flaw..christianity has a bloody, murderous history.. Read up on the burning times and Salem..not the only examples.. yes there is tyranny in the world, yet you should defend the castle.. but to aggressively go ona killing campagne in the nema of ANYTHING is pure evil

It is simple I'll use me as a (poor) example!
If I say something, or do something, that make one mad enough to strike me, it may be my fault.
I will take no action, I must be at fault, I'll turn the other cheek, so to speak!
If another person you attack for no good reason, and you will think that Satan was just released from hell, as I rip you head off and kick it down the road.
Now I'll do that with all the kindness, and smile that I can muster, but the teaching is not for you but for the souls of those who see how far I can kick your head!

a long time ago, we humans have rebeled against God. We broke off from Him, and the worst part was, we couldnt get back to Him cuz we've sinned!
so God sat in heaven thinking how he would LOVE to get back to his wonderful creations. Then He had an idea.
God decided to go down to earth as a man, by sending His Dear Son Jesus Christ to set an example to the people of earth. And so Christ was sent down as a man, and He did not appear as a high and mighty prophet or had an army of angels guarding Him, He only had himself, but God was with Him.
now, read the book of matthew and see how many times did jesus get beaten, spat upon, booed at, despised, and rejected just because he preached the good news. Yes, he did endured those, but did He ever retaliate? No. Thats the amazing thing. God is angry but at the same time merciful and forgiving. Sad to say, some christians have a very distorted perspective about our Father's love for us. One may say "oh man...ive committed a sin...to hell i go" or maybe "god is really pissed at me right now..i think im better off without god since he'll still be fuming at me".
well imagine this then. picture yourself as a child who is playing in a playground and suddenly you slip into a puddle of mud. you're all dirty and you stink pretty bad. ewww. as you run back to the house you cry and face daddy whos in the kitchen cleaning the dishes. you cry and say you're sorry for being dirty all over. at this point you cry even more cuz he's putting down the dishes and he's walking to you and you think he's gonna give you a good beating. instead he squats down and stretches his arms and says its really okay. you forget about the dirt on your body and rush to him with joy and embrace his warm arms around you.
what ive just said is what our Heavenly Father would do as well. he is the Big Authority and it seems that he's a big God who would crush you when you do wrong, but He's really a very big softie inside. of all the wrong things you did, all He wants you to know is that He still loves your very much. God hates the sin, but he loves the person.
so if a man were to hit me on the cheek, i would let him hit me on the other.
and i would pray for forgiveness over him.
Its time to remove those distorted visons over our spiritual faith.
GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!
he is a really really big softie :)
cheers

See this is where I just want to bang my head to wall. People read something else in the Bible and do something else.
Some say Jesus is God, we Muslims say he is prophet, either way God first gave us the law of "an eye for an eye" then all of a sudden changed His mind? Is the Biblical God bipolar?
When God gave us the first law, people took it to extreme and forgot that there is a such thing called forgiveness, Jesus came and showed them other extreme.
The overall teaching is: There might be times when you'll have to fight back and there might be times when you are rather off with forgiving someone.
And this is exactly why I am Muslim.

Preach your muslim cry somewhere else. I don't see muslims slapping cheeks. I see them cutting heads off. Have you not noticed this? Are you blind?
Learn the Word of God, before you preach false teachings.
Wait a minute! Don't you believe the Bible? The Bible says in the Noahic Covenant, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by him shall man's blood be shed”, Genesis 9:5,6. Under the Mosiac Covenant, Exodus 20 verse 13, “Thou shall not kill”. The Hebrew there is murder. Turn the page. “He that smites a man so that he dies shall be put to death", Leviticus 24:17.
What did you say, Jesus? In Mark 9:42, “Whosoever shall offend one of these little children that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”

Christ showed us the ultimate demonstration of peace. He was hated, reviled, and he did not fight back when the jealous religious leaders murdered him. He even corrected Peter for defending Christ with his sword.....Christ led by example, but then again, if no one is following the leader......

It hasn't been used to support violence. The phrase "turn the other cheek" means for us to be able to forgive those who sin against us. It does not mean that we are to just stand there and let them beat the daylights out of us or kill us. We are to forgive those who sin against us if we want to be forgiven by Jesus for the sins we commit.

I'm Buddhist. I've always like the saying "An eye for an eye and before you know it, everybody's blind."
