Depends on the item. For example, at Kroger's, I will buy America's Choice cookies and cream ice cream. It is a store brand and it is REALLY good. However, if I want nacho chips, I will only buy Doritos because that is the taste I want. I'm open to trying a store brand, especially if it is on sale. When it comes to non-food items like soap or baggies, I usually buy the store brand.

Store brand- Food Club- I've found all items I've tried as good as name brands, so I buy store brand unless the name brand is on sale. Always Save- usually the cheapest line and occasionally "too" cheap- not enough of the more expensive ingredients, so I pick and choose if I'm buying this line.

Depends. Some things (Trash bags, for example) don't have much difference between name brand and store brand. Others, like toilet paper, are definitely worth spending an extra dollar or two for. And a few things are actually better. The store where I shop has an AMAZING store brand marinara pasta sauce that is the best I ever tasted. You just have to experiment.

i usually by store brand items except for spagetti sauce pretty much it all tastes the same and is a little cheaper and some times it actually tastes better than the brand name foods.
Besides if your the one doing the cooking no one els would probably even notice unless you tell them. Try it and you'll like the savings and probably the taste. Good luck...... Also I don't by generic soap, laundry soap, shampoo or conditioner , toilet paper etc. but you can get it alot cheaper from dollar general or family dollar and some times big lots just to name a few

Mostly do the brand names, following a list I've made for myself before leaving home. If I don't do a list, I tend to wonder around the store like a child in a candy store, aimlessly buying stuff that looks good at the moment. I think its an old age thing!!!

There are some great store brand products but usually I buy brand name. Seems to be less problem if you have to return item.

Both. Mostly store brand items, though.

I do both as well. If it taste good I will get the cheap brand. I really like the new Aldi's hot dogs. Some one told me about this. They have change their hot dog brand. It only 79 cents. You can not beat that price. I do like some great value brands from walmart.

Both.

There are some items there are no substitute for like toilet paper, mayonnaise, soap, certain types of cereal.

Mostly store brand if it makes no difference in taste.
