Or do you sit by and watch as your brothers fight till the death? So many who claim to walk a righteous path use the tools a hate to inspire fear of another man, and by doing so subjugate power over you. By accepting that the Muslims are evil, and seeking to destroy them, you ignore the message of Christ. When did war become a Christ like value? (let me guess the Crusades, the Inquisition...etc which of course are demonized by history) Regardless of what religious, or non-religious path you follow, the question still applys.

I am not for war. But what can I as a married woman do about it but pray and hope and vote? But I do believe in being my brothers keeper.

No one is their brother's keeper. It is pure rhetoric. Each person is responsible for themselves and we can't lay the blame for a faulty life on others. People seek to place responsibility on others but you confuse kindness and compassion with obligation. They are not the same. I can be kind and give food to a person, but that doesn't mean that I have an obligation to his future or his goodness. You use the word Muslim but what you are really saying is that they are beneath you...not equal to you in the quality of their faith. I am Buddhist and we believe in not offending others and by even mentioning a faith or belief you show that they are less worthy as you compare them to yourself. You also mix two different thoughts. It is not the Christians fighting agains Muslims but it is two different political viewpoints clashing. There are many fine Muslims in the world, some of which are my friends, who have no interest in the polemics of the Middle East. Don't use religion as a scapegoat for wars...the crusades were not for religion only...the inquisition was for what real purpose..domination. War is about $$$$ not religion.

Is killing terror leaders wrong?

The Detroit Free Press
A very, very good question found there. Let's see what is again happening: “Suicide attacks push limits when the bombers are kids” – [Michael Matza – Knight Ridder newspapers]. We were all shocked at what happened there. “Palestinian youth believe that if killed fighting for Islam, they will go to heaven and delight in the company of beautiful virgins” – [World Magazine]. And here you see Hussam Abdu, a 16-year-old boy who had that bomb strapped to his body and he gave up. He did not want to die. Well, “The U.S. blocks U.N. Security Council rebuke of Israel. [USA Today, Bill Nichols & Barbara Slavin]. you know, i am absolutely shocked that they're using children to commit suicide in order to promote their terrorism.
A sheik, Ahmed Yassin, trained these children and they put him to death and everyone is complaining now. Wait a minute! Don't you believe the Bible? The Bible says in the Noahic Covenant, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by him shall man's blood be shed”, Genesis 9:5,6. Under the Mosiac Covenant, Exodus 20 verse 13, “Thou shall not kill”. The Hebrew there is murder. Turn the page. “He that smites a man so that he dies shall be put to death", Leviticus 24:17.
This man was training these little children to put bombs in their body and this kid says, “They gave me $25 and told me I'd have 72 virgins”. What would a 16-year-old do with them? He probably wouldn't know what to do. How sad. Yet this man who was killed was behind all of this. What did you say, Jesus? In Mark 9:42, “Whosoever shall offend one of these little children that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”

Now, that sounds like capital punishment to me. You drop a guy into the sea and he's gone. And the policemen and military men are ministers of God and they bear not the sword in vain, Romans 13:14. That's not for peeling potatoes. I say murderers should be put to death. Even some of these juveniles who are killing everyone around this country.

The thoughts and life one lives answer that question. In one sense we are not our brothers keeper, as we do not control their thoughts and deeds. However, in another sense, we are our brothers keeper as our influence may be the deciding factor on what they think and do or do not do.

I am not my brothers keeper...if my brother decides to hurt others then my brother should have to face the consequences no matter what they may be or how harsh they are.
