Little Letter To God

No great things can I offer you,
No wise and wonderous deeds.
Only a simple love so true
And a thank you for my needs.
Dear God it is the little things
I most am thankful for
My life, my sons, my family
My roof, my walls, my door.
May it always be open
To whomever comes to call
May I show your wonderous love
To each individual and to all.
I love you with my simple heart
For I am simple too.
Thanks for not forsaking me.
For letting me love YOU!
Peace Be With You Always,
Debra

Dear Old School I would not expect an atheist to like it.

I am simply me, a wife and mother following her faith with the same faults and mistakes as all of us.

It brings peace and tears to my eyes, but what more signs I can ask for when I say if JESUS is real and I click to yahoo answers and find a warm heart JESUS talking to me through your poem. It is not just a poem to me it is a prayor and a sign that all my worries and troubles are being lifted from my heart one day at a time. Sad days are upon me, my life has taken a different step up from reality I no longer wish to live in darkness while all I love has flown away into the clear soft light. I have giving all hell its time and it took my happiness I never gave goodness the time of day until a couple of weeks ago but it came a little too late for me, I lost a girlfriend whom I have a son with all because I choosed to let hell take over my life and now that I found JESUS the most hard thing to do is letting her go only cause I truly love her and don't want her or my son living miserable with my madness. I don't know what the future holds for me but I know who holds my future. JESUS I thank you for Debra and GOD bless her and her family, through her you have answered me that you are here with me. While I see only one foot step it is because you are carrying me through this hard, sad time. Debra, my name is Marcos, thank you! JESUS LOVES YOU!

How I Love You Jesus
by Martin S

Rom 6:1-4 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! We died to sin--How shall we live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.

I was blinded by the darkness, of the evil in my heart
Till you called me to you Jesus, and gave my life a brand new start
You filled my days with meaning, the joy of life anew
With new eyes to see the beauty, that only comes through You

Like a child upon a journey, to an exotic land afar
Sailing on the crystal ocean, with your Spirit as my star
Each day's a new adventure, with wonders to behold
My Father's hand upon the tiller, gives me courage, makes me bold
My strength and my salvation, my fortress and my Rock
My harbor in the storm, where for shelter I might dock

For I am more than a conqueror, in every thing that I go through
Because the love of God shines like the sun, in a sky so deep and blue
Like a rose bud in the morning, I unfold to feel his light
Knowing that by his power, I was kept safely through the night
And if I love you Jesus, twas You who loved me first
Like the dew upon the petals, for you alone I thirst

So let your love rain down upon me Jesus, and fill my thirsty soul
Till my cup is overflowing, for You alone can make me whole
My Lord, My God, I love You, so please take me by the hand
And guide me to you Jesus, lead me to the Promised Land
To your grace and to your mercy, to your love that's oh so sweet
Where I might bow down before You, and worship at your feet

Rom 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I may be an atheist, but I can still appreciate honest thoughts and heartfelt feeling.

It's a very nice poem.

Debra,
It seemed to have a lot of subtle elements; good poem.

Obedience, love, humility, gratefulness, gentleness, faith, faithfulness, and hospitality.
