I HATE THEM SOOO MUCH i cant put it into words, i remember hating them in the 80's when i was 6 and all the older girls had them but i refused, and NOW every sad-act around bournemouth (who thinks they from london init bruv) is copying that silly mare lady sovereign and doing their hair like a FCUKING TWAAAT i dont understand can anyone else shed some light on this?? if i wouldnt get done for it id go round with a big fcukoff pair of scissors and do the world a favour.

ha ha ha.. I love a question full of true hatred early in the morning.. I have to agree that I hate them too, they look like they are mentally unhinged and the people in the straight jackets did their hair for them..
I am a guy & it doesn't take much to please me but I am with you they suck.

Because it looks better than a school girl normal one. If you wear the ponytail sideways and low down it looks quite sophisticated. Are you referring to high up ones? Anyway try not to let it bother you too much. They won't hurt you! (except when people turn their heads quickly and it smacks you in the face).

well i try to put my hair into a normal ponytail at the back but it always ends up slightly to one side which is a bit annoying. i do think it looks stupid though.

well, some find side pony tails very feminine, others hate it.... as long as someone' s style choices don't offend others it's just a question of personal preferences....
