It isn't me that converts anyone. It is what they feel in their hearts that converts them. Brainwashing? Only abusive people use brainwashing...so I would never do that. As for being a missionary, that comes naturally when they feel they want to share what they believe is true. Being a real friend is what really brings people close to Christ. P.S.--I have several Muslim friends (all from Pakistan) and we get along just fine.

First of all we as Christians don't convert people at all, God converts. One verse in the Bible says 2 Timothy 2:24 "The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
One thing we do is pray for people. Once someone becomes a Christian it is not us who brain washes them, it is the Holy Spirit.
John 16:13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth;" A person who becomes a Christian will find he has an appetite for the things of God and the Word of God and he will begin to search for truth and that is where the Holy Spirit comes in.
When people become Christians their lives are changed so much and they have so much joy that they just want to tell others bout it and that is what a missionary is.

To me it's very easy to convert people. I mean geniune conversion it's got nothing to do with brainwashing neither do you have to turn them into missionaries all you to do is to make your own life a living testimony and make the person realise the need for salvation after this the decision to accept or reject salvation is left to him/her.
Brainwashing isn't biblical and shouldn't be heard among christians
Becoming a missionary is a personal decision to be made by anyone.
So, Pls erase that notion from ur mind

First Christ never brain wash people so why should you. Not everyone is a Pastor so not is a missionary. And if your Pastor or group is teaching you this they are wrong.Matt 5:16 says Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. So are letting your light shine or are you in the dark too?

People convert themselves. A preachers job is to place before people, information that will cause them to change their mind from what they thought before. Many people are given the information but very few change. Matthew 7;13 “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it. 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.
And there is nothing wrong with brainwashing yourself with Bible information. Mostly our brains need a good cleaning out.

hey there, im christian too.

sorry to burst your bubble but, the word brain wash sounds a little harsh when you're actually trying to make people believe in the faith and become full time missionaries.

and...missionaries are not made by men, but are made by God.

as you know, people are individuals free to do anything in this world. they can accept what you hope for them to be and they can reject it. its called freedom of choice, and you should know that even forcing people to convert or become missionaries is not right. im not turning down your idea. im telling you to do your best and if things dont work out, let God do the rest.

how i would do the above 3 you mentioned would actually require some self reflection and meditation upon the Word. you will need to seek God and develop a spirit of love and some warm hospitality among those you wanna try converting. let God show you faces He wants you to reach out to. let God develop how you communicate and tell other people about His salvation cuz most of the time some people see us christians as really religious and "clean", church goers. But we're just like you guys, we're human too.

if ya wanna convert, try having a sense of mentorship. hang out with them, laugh with them, share their tears with them and do whatever you can as if they're your own friends. the beautiful part is they will be asking you why are you doing all this for them and you'll be saying that you have a Friend who's better at it and you're just an hint of what He can do. then at this point you can talk about converting him or her and bringing him or her to church.

finally, pray. it's the best thing to do. in fact, i should've mentioned pray at the start of this. prayer is power, and it works for you and me. prayer is the answer and to come before God for what you want. prayer for those you wanna reach out to is also showing God how much you love them and how you would like Him to help you love them and also come before Him like what you're doing.

so, you do not need to brainwash them. all you need is your constant trust in the Lord and you're all set. Sure, it may seem very hard to swallow and hard to do, but when you keep practicing and getting to know God better, who knows, you might be bringing about 50 people or more to know Christ!

God bless you and all the best bro! :)

pak-is-great,
First you show them and Islamically controlled country. If they have just half a brain they will see no separation of chruch and state. By definition people are oppressed and the prospective convert is angered by the sick Islamic Law.

The Mormons Have a HUDGE missionary group.

If you went to Central America, you would see hundreds of them in a week.
You tell them that they will get to heaven by doing this.

in case you have a cult like faith, "LOVE BOMBING", complicated DOCTRINE, removal OF privateness, controlled APPROVAL , and NO QUESTIONS might probable artwork terrific. i think mainstream religions deal greater with PEER team stress, CHANTING OR making a music, CONFESSION, and incredibly FINGER POINTING, which i think of to be the main effective of all, via fact it feeds the ego. i might additionally upload "All understanding"- each and every action is a component of a grasp plan, and is common earlier it happens. Any data against the religion replaced into purposely positioned there to aim the religion. something undesirable happens for a miles better sturdy. The grasp plan can't be common via all and sundry.
