Spell check is my very best friend. I never submit a thing until I do it. I'd hate for people to talk about and I know that they would if I didn't use it. That's a honest answer!

Beacause the spell check is American and doesn't always pick up on the REAL english spelling and meaning of words

oh, but I do use it. but I find it infuriating to read correctly spelt replies, where the person has spelt the word correct but put the incorrect word there.
Can't Yahoo change it so it's a Spelling/Grammar checker?
i.e., where someone has put the phrase "I was looking for my umbrella, I swore I put it under my desk, I couldn't find it, when I did find it, it was their all along, .." (in this example I have used Their instead of There)

i agree with the angry guy and it takes long to check if you write a lot of thing and we are in the world whereby it is only the idea that matters not what spelling or what correct english you use
just express yourself

Well, some are usually in a hurry either in posting questions or answering them. In relation to the latter, they probably want to get more points as soon as possible. And of course, the faster and the more questions one answers, the quicker it will be to move a level higher than his/her present state. Its a chain reaction: when you move a level higher, there will be more asking/answering/rating allotments granted to a Y! Answers user. *Man,do I ramble! Sorry!!! ;-)*

Oh, I know, it drives me up the wall. Common people, the button is right there. I never use it, my spelling is almost always perfect (I go to High School, so I haven't forgotten how to write yet). Please use it so that others (like me) can understand you.

I have no idea. The button is right there looking at you. Imperfect as it might be, it is still better then nothing. I really do not like 'net' talk and grammer. It is often really hard to read.
