My 12 year old has hair that goes like a chip pan too.Touching your hair too much can make it greasy, even when your hands are clean.Use a shampoo specifically designed for greasy hair and wash it evry two days.It is a pain in the neck.

I have very fine greasy hair and i use sunsilk shampoo for greasy hair it helps to prevent the hair gettin greasy so quickly also if i washed my hair the night before and in the morning its a bit greasy i jus add a bit of talcum powder make sure it doesnt show the white but rub it in ... IT DOES WORK and it dries it out and it feels nicer too.. also if u have suddenly got greasy hair and you dont usually get it.. it might be because you have a big period coming up or ur hormones are high you can go to ur local pharmacy or holland and barrat store im sure theres something there 4u xx

Sunsilks do a light weight shampoo and conditinoner for greasey hair which works well but I found it is a short time thing ( after using for a while goes a bit rubbish) Herbal essence do greasty root and dry ends which is great as it tackles the grease without drying the rest of your hair out.

Try washing less if you can and only use a small amount of conditioner if you can, don't use it all the time. Use a cool hair dryer as hot will stimulate oil production and keep a bit of dry shampoo handy for emergencies- you just rub it on your roots and shake off- good as new. (talc is pretty much the same and cheaper!!)

Hope this helps

Around the time of the month or if you are going through the change, hormones can make your hair greasy.
Dont be tempted to wash it every day though, as this leads to a vicious circle whereby you end up needing to wash it daily forever - which will make it dry and the ends split.
Try changing your shampoo for one specifically for greasy hair, and use conditionner less often.

What do you mean, you never suffered with it before?

Has it appeared just one day?

Best thing for greasy hair is to use a shampoo aimed at people with oily hair :)

I have greasy hair and have found that changing your shampoo ever now and then works. don't wash it to often as this just makes your hair more greasy. say ever other day. also cut down on using hair products. try Tresemme products but don't use products for greasy hair as they tend to strip the hair of the grease ,but your head will over compensate for this and produce more grease

ok..you could be washing your hair too often..in fact..it is drying out and that is why it is producing added moisture. Why don't you try a simple shampoo and conditioner and leave off all the hair goo products for a time and see if your hair can recover on it's own...do not panic..yet!

Greasy hair can be caused by stress and hormones, you should also check your diet, also, sleeping with a silk scarf wrapped around your hair can help!!!

i have used shampoos with tea tree oil in it.the easiest way to purchase it is at a hair salon.i get mine at wally-world.it balances the ph level in your hair and scalp.you can also look at all the labels on shampoo and conditioner bottles but that will take forever.you need a solution like yesterday.lotsa luck!
