I used to separate the radicals from the rest, but my view has recently changed.
I never see them protest when people are killed in the name of Islam, but if you draw a cartoon there are riots. I hear Muslims justify attrocities in their name with, "It's terrible... but I understand why..." How do you understand cutting off a reporter's head and putting it on the web? I hear that excuse all the time. The owner of a middle-eastern restaurant I USED to frequent has been funneling millions to Hizbollah and fled to Lebanon. I have numerous stories like this...
I feel now that those who don't commit the acts tacitly support those who do.
I am an American, but I hate some of the things my government does in my name and I speak out against it when necessary. Millions more do the same thing. We are a divided people for this. But I am a "viable target" because I am an "infidel?" Nice.
So where I once considered most Muslims victims of the radicals in their faith (much as Americans are victims of the radicals in our government), I no longer feel that way. I have no trust and see those that are here as potential attackers. People can blame me, the media, or my government for that. But I blame the followers of Islam for not making a stand if they truly disagree with what is being done in their name.

I won't discount a person just because he/she is Muslim. Trusting anyone, regardless of background, takes time. However, I am sick and tired of hearing that Islam is a "peaceful" religion. Thank Allah Islam is such a "peaceful" religion. Can you imagine if it weren't??!
While not all Muslims are terrorists or support terrorism, the vast majority of terrorists and their supporters are Muslim. Islam is a very oppressive, violent religion, not only on its own people, but certainly on non-Muslims. The good Muslims ought to stand up and condemn Islamic extremists and Islamic terrorism, unequivocally, without any "and," "if," or "but."
Unfortunately for the modern world, the Muslims have been conditioned by their dictatorial regimes to have one thought, the same as the regime. There is no spectrum of opinions in the Muslim world, there is no freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom to live life freely (exception is in Turkey).
It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.
For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?
It would be to the benefit of the World to rid of Islamofascism that includes, but no limited to, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the world.

"Thing" the women, fling the men.
But, the core of their belief system is stagnate and focused on 6th century piracy.
Enslave you all, prostitute the women and children, offer the men a chance to join the crew, murder everyone else, steal all their property, or, destroy it.
Not one speck o "love thy neighbor", not a hint of "Tolerance for others". Even the cartoons aren't funny, they are all about killing children.
But, you probably don't get the Mecca Times or the Damascus Revolt.

I think the Muslim people are generally good, maybe a little more devout than some others. However, I think they have not been encouraged to develop sufficient critical facility that would allow them to see through some evil leaders who have a corrupting influence on them.

They are being represented to the rest of the world by a small lunatic fringe. Until the silent majority stands up and says "We are the real Islam.", they will continue to be misunderstood.

firstly it is Muslim (lol). They are good people just like us. They r not all terrorists and they are typically very good kind people. Yes there r extremists but we have people like that in the States and elswhere in the world (The KKK, Aryian Brotherhood, etc..) I have several Muslim friends and they are normal and great people. PEOPLE U HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR! Talk to one and get to understand them and their culture. I think u'll be pleasently surprised.

Every Muslim person I have ever known has been just wonderful. They have been intelligent, compassionate, peaceloving, and thoroughly ashamed of what the radical terrorists do.
Likewise, the Jewish people I've known have been just wonderful. The Jewish people I've known have all been intelligent, wonderfully funny, and insightful people.

They are good but they are intolerant when it comes to non-muslims. They think only muslims go to heaven and everyone else is destined to hell even if that person is a non-muslim saint. they are like frogs in the well.
