On one hand, the hard-core Muslim leaders says the Prophet himself taught everyone about the equal treatment of both the sexes.

Paradoxically, every day hundreds of Muslim women across the world are being murdered in the name of honor killing, and some stoned to death for committing adultery.

These women are trying to be free of all these and the women that have the choise to be free are covering their heads and even accepting their men to have a lover (like in Qatar) instead of marrying up to 4 women.

Islam is a false religion. I wish it was more cmplex and I could give you a different answer. Mohammed was not a profet of God.

The Bible is the Word of the True God. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus, the Son, died on the Cross to save us all from our sin. All we need to do is believe in Him and his wonders after admitting we are sinners in need of a Saviour and God will Save us.

Islam is explicit when it come to fairness regarding women. It is not found anywhere in its teaching that women are inferior. You are confusing yourself with people of certain cultures rather than Islam itself.

In many cultures women are treated badly or as second class citizen, and in some only of late that women are given equal status.
On the other hand Islam recognized women status some 1400 years ago.

Things like fairness and truth are irrelevant to religious teachings. A religion will proclaim itself "fair" or claim to have the truth only to the extent that doing so helps the religion persist. Obviously unfairness and dishonesty permeate religions as they actually exist.

Women have to be the ones that commit because the enforcement of commitment is something that religions offer to women to attract and retain them. Women value commitment more so than do men, and have no power to enforce it themselves, so religions offer something of great value to women. For those religions that so freely allow men a double standard, the demand in culture must be different. I imagine that the most important part of the context is the relative historical poverty of those areas, making women less valuable outside of sex and reproduction. But that's just wild conjecture - it's a topic worth studying, but I know we're more likely to just moralize about it without any attempt to understand.

Religion is for the oppressed and like God religion is not fair.
Stoned to death for committing adultery it stupidly to me however any man that is married, would catch his wife in bed with another man, well at that point they would be more than happy to do that and the same goes for women.
Women need to understand men need more than one women, but not to love as the chosen women, men are still the masters of the races and therefore should be given that god given right

Religion does make people do bad things, and it is not just Islam that does this. Christianity also marginalizes women. In the Old Testament, especially, women are treated as property. In the Ten Commandments, they are listed right next to oxen as property of men that shouldn't be coveted.

Sexism is rampant throughout the world, but this doesn't make it right. What solutions would you have to improving the quality of lives of women? I feel that when women are equally educated as men, and they are provided the same job opportunities, they will not be dependent upon husbands.

And how are you going to justify the "witch burning"?
You are mixing culture with religion. You have internet, read Quran online and show me the verse that asks one to do such evil act.

If you look throughout the world the only societies where women are treated well are societies with a Christian influence. Societies where Jesus is not present women are usually treated just a little better then slaves.

I have wondered this myself in regards to Islam. It's very sad. I hope your question makes people think and will lead people to the Truth.
