Senior catholic and anglican archbishops are designated Primates. So are the leaders of the various orthodox churches.

Is this implicit recognition that they evolved from other primates?
And are the denying that the rest of us did?

Sounds like there was some sarcasm in the above message.

Primate stems from primacy. As long as we aren't talking about monkeys, such primacy can be traced to the times of the Apostles.

Of course, a primate's attitude can evolve with the society, but not according to Scriptures and Traditions which are fixed.

Pope Jojn Paul II once said that Evolution is much more than just theory. Catholics have no problem with evolution.

We were created, not evolved. In all of God's creatures, humans are the only ones that have a sense of worth and are really aware of things as time and philosophy.
