I'm planning to study in the US. Most of the universities are asking for a bank statement(financial proof). If my fund is not enough what should I do?

Stay where you are at until you have the funds!

The reason they want a finanical afidavit is so that you don't come here, and end up homeless during your first year of school here in the US. The financial information is to protect you, and ensure you can cover yourself in a capitalist country that has high living expenses compared to the rest of the world.

Remember, It's not just YOUR finanical information that is allowed. If you have relatives who state that they will sponsor you with a specific monetary amount(or your country will sponsor you for a certain monetary amount), then that helps show you can make it, too. Family members will need to send in bank statements and official papers to back up their letters of financial support.

Also, depending on what you wish to study, you may be able to speak with the department you wish to study under, and they may have jobs and/or finanical assistance programs set up to help them teach and help international students pay their way through their studies at the university. This option is more often available for graduate school than undergraduate school, too.

Hope this helps
