Please go to London. Even though everyone in the world thinks that England is a posh place that speaks english in a nice accent it is so far from the truth you wouldn't imagine!!
The only nice accent in the UK is a posh london accent. The rest are the roughest accents you have ever heard. Please go to London, and if you can't then go to the states or australia or south africa or something but please don't go to yorkshire or manchester or leeds or anything like that!

One of the most popular places in the UK for foreign students to learn English is Cambridge. The schools have good reputations, the city is beautiful, and with so many students there is a good social life. The English Language School, the Central Language School, and Studio Cambridge are good first places to try.

Irish Republic... a well spoken soft Irish accent is one of the easiest to understand and as non-British they have no real bias or pretensions about local expressions - except Irish ones of course - so are more objective. Plus it's a beautiful country they're great people and it's cheaper.
I used to teach English in Spain and feedback always showed that Irish teachers were favourites.

The best English is spoken in Inverness (North Scotland). The English are not good at speaking and teaching their language. Some of the best English Schools are in Holland.

I'd say NOT London. In London you'd probably be tempted to, and successful at, finding people from your home country.
I know some people who've been to English schools in Essex; one of them met her husband there so that can't be bad.

Somewhere nice that has a posh accent, none of that commoner accent stuff. Ask Sean Connery, wait! Go to Walse and get a really nice accent like they have!
