1 year.. i just gave my daughter a bottle of cows milk.. and she drank it like nothing.. i don't think she could tell the difference..well she sure didn't seem like it.. its not really a big deal.. its just another mild stone for them.. cows milk has a lot of vitamins and fat that they need at this age!!

it will be executed at age one. Introduce progressively. Serve it the same way you've been feeding her..warm or chilly, same type of bottle or cup. on the first day start up with a million/4 milk, 3/4 formulation. If she doesn't like that, shrink to a lot less milk-more effective formulation. If she has no complications, try this for 2 days then improve to at least a million/2 and a million/2 for 2 days; then to three/4 milk, a million/4 formulation for 2 days. Then ultimately on the seventh day you may want to be able to provide all milk. I actually have 4 older children and this labored for all of them.

12 months.

DON'T do it all at once. (Formula) 75/25 (Cows), 50/50, 25/75, 100% Cows Milk

Do this for a few weeks. Make sure he is tolerating the Cows Milk before proceeding onto the next stage.

Most DR's recommend cow's milk by age 12 months. I started working both my kids into it at 9 months so they would be soley on cow's milk by 12 months. It is recommended to do it gradually.

You can introduce him to milk now, 12 mos is the recommended age to start. Since you have been mixing it with his food already, he most likely isn't allergic. However, make sure it is whole milk, not Skim, 1% or 2% - as whole milk's fats help with brain developement.

just offer it to him everyday - don't give him juice just milk i had the same problem transitioning my childs Dr.told me this technique it worked after one week but you have to really stick to your guns no juice give him real fruit as a substitute take the juice out of the fridge he will drink when he gets thirsty enough and then you should limit juice to one glass a day for a few weeks until he is used to it if you are still using formula just add cows milk 1/2 and 1/2 then 2/3's good luck

My son's doctor said 2 years of age is the best time to switch to milk. She said 12 months was okay but said he would need a multi vitamin with calcium if I did that then.

it may only be an old wives tale....but i used this method and had no problems....at approx 16-18mth i started to intro to cows milk...but as told to me by my granny and mother-in-law.... i partly boiled the cows milk then cooled to the right temp first ...they said it help the baby to digest this and wouldn't create problems.... cant hurt either way but like i said i done it with my three kids and had no probs with the change.... i think "old wives tales" are wisdom the women of these times have so much experience

most peds recommand taking the baby off of his formula and trying him on cows milk at one year of age. And when you try him on it for the first time you shouldnt introduce any new foods that he has not tried so you can recongnize if he is allergic to it or not. hope this helps
