It was kind of a weird dream. I dreamt I was just temporarily being muslim and studying the koran to just understand them and their beliefs. I felt very alienated by my peers though. It was a crazy dream.
Actually, I kept telling people I wanted to learn more about soofyists or something. I can't remember and I've never heard of that term.

It's just a wake up call for you to try and understand Islam and learn more about Islam and Muslims.
The alienation by your peers I guess means you have to do it alone or that they wont understand WHY you're doing this.
Sufiysim is a strict sect in Islam.

Maybe Islam has something you need... I'll check it out if I were you, no harm will come out of it! You'll only become a better, more knowledegable and well-rounded person!

No one is asking you or telling you to convert, just to learn more about Islam and Muslims which I think everyone should so they'd know the difference between what the Media says and what Islam/Muslims are truly about!

There's this website that is excellent in helping non-Muslims to understand the true meaning of Islam:

Good Luck!

The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) has said that the dream that comes to a righteous person is all that is left of revelation. Whatever the reason for your dream, or what you think it might mean, know that the basis for Islam is to believe that there is no deity worthy of worship except the One True God who created the heavens and the earth.

Try to imagine that you are standing on the earth which is only a pin prick in the rest of the universe, and that beyond the universes ... beyond all time and space is the One who created you, observing you right now, and waiting for your call. This "One" is not similar to anything which anyone has ever seen, or heard ... this "One" is not a being, not a spirit, not a light, not a creature ...

Do not imagine any "body" or physical form, make every effort to be aware of this "One" but without giving this "One" any form. This "One" is your Creator ... the One who initiated your existance and continuously supports it, the one who though distant is closer to you than your jugular vein. The One who knows your every breath, thought, worry, need. The One who hears yoru inner voice and kows your inner desires.

We call this "One" Allah. Allah has no gender, no associates, no partners, no children, no beginning and no ending. Allah knows all, hears all, and is in control of all things simultaneously. Allah has no needs, is self-sufficient and is eternal. Allah does not die, nor sleep, nor tire. When Allah wants a thing to happen or exist he merely says "Be" and it is. Allah does not exist in time or space or matter but is the creator of these things.

Islam is the submission of yourself to the will of This One True God. We have learnt about Our Creator through his many thousands of Messengers(pbut). Muhammad being the last. What is left of revelation are the dreams that come to the righteous ones.

Islam is like the ocean, for the casual observer it is something which is almost never at rest, there are waves and ripples and all kinds of movements. One cannot penetrate it and experience anything of it by viewing it from the outside and one is left with only a superficial experince of it. Only upon closer inspection, putting ones head under the water and taking a look beneath the surface do you start to see some of the mysteries and beauties which lie beneath. It is really only when you are fully submerged and you dive deep beneath the surface that you start to see the beauty of creation, colours and lights and mysteries which cannot be experienced from the shore. The deeper one dives the more amazed one is to find life at levels deeper than one thought it would be possible. It is in the depths of the oceans that many of the systems which govern life on this plannet play themselves out.

Islam is a religion for those who are devout and peaceful but the small minority spoil it for the majority by acts of violence.

The violence branches from two routes that religion begins to entail itself into:

1- Politics
2- Extremism

Politics is a complex thing, and people begin to divide their views depending in which sect/denomination they belong to and stick by it in return for empty promises or retalliation towards a particular group/party.

Extremism is not only in Islam although it is more "common", there is the situation in Ireland where protestants and catholics take violence as their only option. In Islam, the problem is the brainwashing undertaken by clerics who wish to fulfill some sort of personal mission rather than that of the intentions of a true muslim.

If we believe in God(s) who will punish those who "trespass against us" or "commit the sins" why do the followers have to take the matters into their own hands, surely it is up to God(s), not us... that is where this small minority have made a mistake!

I could discuss this for ages, but will it make differnce to those who already are willing to give their life for some fantasy of virgins in heaven, whilst killing themselves and other INNOCENT people (which are both against the 10 commandments of Islam & Christianity) ... i shall have to leave it for you to decide to seek further knowledge and advice about islam :-)

Oh, dreaming is normal. But then, with your kind of dream, most probably you encountered issues regarding the Muslim people. So, when you went to bed, that particular issue was still in your sub-conscious mind. Being there, well, you will surely dream about the Muslim.

I am assuming that you are not Muslim...I like that your subconscious is open to trying to understand another's point of view! Maybe its telling you something important. Would it threaten your own faith to find out about another's?

I say no. I say that its an important way that any of us can find out what we have in common so that we may one day live in peace, side by side as brothers who respect and trust one another, as I believe God intends.

Peace and grace to you, friend.

maybe it was a sign. but i dont think suffi is the right path nooffense to the suffi's. i think you should totally follow your dream to become muslim, but a sunni one. not that i'm really the person that is strict on sects. i dont think anybody should call therselves sunni or shiate or suffi. we are all muslims so we shouldn't be divided. i am not sunni i just follow their belifs

ps. dont listen to the other losers who call us terrorists cause we really arent. the people who say this is are judgemental and unfair
