How should i greet my wife when i would return home after 3 years? i've not seen my wife from the last 3 years

i am a thousand miles away from her, i have come here for some work purpose. how should i react when i will see her after such a long time?

Maybe its weird for most people in here to even hear of such a thing since most people answering are Americans but its true that many many asians travel to other countries for work, leaving their wives and children behind, while they toil and save money so the family back home can have a better life.

I know some Pakistanis and Nepalis here in Malaysia who've been away from their families for 5-7 years and all they can do is talk to their wives over the phone once a month (when they get their pay). They go back after their contracts expire because it is the company's liability to pay for the flight home, which could be worth a few months pay for them.

Extra-marital affairs and boyfreinds do not exist since the wife stays with the in-laws and generally surrounded by family all the time.

You're asking us how you should react? How long were you married before you moved off?

Expect her to have changed, noone stays the same after 3yrs.Be open minded, both of you have changed and it might be a little hard to relate to each other at first.
Be prepared to woo her all over again. Your relationship will be lots different, start with the things that initially attracted you to her and work from there.
