Please explain to me how flying a plane into a building sends you to heaven, and why is Allah giving you 17 virgins??

Also why is strapping bombs to your body and boarding a crowded bus or entering a marketplace then detonating it considered a holy act?

Also, I dont understand the relgious benefits and significance of beating your wife.

Is it written in the glorious Quran that crop dusters filled with biochemical agents will fulfill the scriptures and bring praise to Allah?

Am I missing something here, a metaphore I missed?

I am defending the US, Nor am I looking for a definition of Islam. I am asking why are Muslims doing this, there is a religous reason, not political.
So what is the religious reason

They are ignorant a nd believe their jelaousy and hatred towards a better country and way of living is justified by blowing themsleves up. Oh no wait! they also strapped a little girl with explosives and had her approach our front gates, (i will not name location). All it is, is cowardness. These people talk all their bullshit and do nothing but murder their own people. Yeah i kinda know, I'm here in Iraq. It's very sad to see that not all Muslim people and Iraqis are religious fanatic loonatics but still get the bad rep. I always thought it was the "golden rule" do onto other as you want to be done to" that separated us from the animals but i guess not. As the U.S. we become more and more powerful and there will always be other countries trying to bring us down because of it.Again if blowing up the U.S. was actually a will of their God and they were really ready to die for it, wouldn't they face us head on? I have never come across a Quranic verse that tells us anything about 17, 70 or 72 virgins in heaven.

About flying the plans into building somehow helps one achive heaven is something I do not under but what I do understand is there are about 25000+ Muslim commercial Airline pilots, out of which about 10000+ have been working right in these western countries like USA or have been here at some point of their life yet not a single one has ever done something like this. Instead, it's some nuts who are so dedicated that they actually first learn how to fly and then try to hijack a plane and then do the distruction.

Same thing goes for sciucide bombers.

Beating the wife has also been over played because some translators translated the word into "beat" insead of "leave" your unfaithful wife. Semetic languages usually carry many meanings with one word and this is when few messed up.

4th question sounds like nothing but an ignorance.
You are actually not missing much, it's not your fault that you live in a country where media gives it's heart and soul to make Islam look outdated and terrorist.

Believe me when I say there is NO religious reason at all! Islam condemns all these kind of things! It's the media that makes you believe that Islam is a religion of terror and murder..

Wife beating is taking out of context. The media toyed with it in order to harm Islam and Muslim's image.

biomimetik is not correct. The USA did not kill 200,000 civilians. Thats a load of crap. We did not use fuel air bombs or napalm.
The M.O.A.B. bomb was developed but never used over seas. It was used as a deterent. I didn't continue read his BS after the first 10 paragraphs. As far as your question: The Islamic extremists are to kill the infidels...Jews and Christians. Using suicide bombs they can effectively target and kill large groups with minimal loss to their own forces. They call it "sacrifice" not suicide since suicide is a sin in Islam.

Where does their hatred stem from....its an century old grudge from the crusades and also from helping Israel. They have been humuiliated. Israel alone defended their country agaist 5 arab nations and won. How humiliating is that? They never forgot and still hold a grudge to this day.

Wife beating is no unique ceremony of Muslims. There are umpteen Christian , Hindu Women going to courts with claims of Physical and mental torture.

Also during Crusades, it was considered a Duty to kill Non-christians.

I am not trying to belittle a faith or say all religions are bad. But, everywhere, in every religion there exists people who would do all terrible things and claim divine glory for it.
Do not fault a faith. The problem is with individuals.

The violence branches from two routes that religion begins to entail itself into:

1- Politics
2- Extremism

Politics is a complex thing, and people begin to divide their views depending in which sect/denomination they belong to and stick by it in return for empty promises or retalliation towards a particular group/party.

Extremism is not only in Islam although it is more "common", there is the situation in Ireland where protestants and catholics take violence as their only option. In Islam, the problem is the brainwashing undertaken by clerics who wish to fulfill some sort of personal mission rather than that of the intentions of a true muslim.

If we believe in God(s) who will punish those who "trespass against us" or "commit the sins" why do the followers have to take the matters into their own hands, surely it is up to God(s), not us... that is where this small minority have made a mistake!

I could discuss this for ages, but will it make differnce to those who already are willing to give their life for some fantasy of virgins in heaven, whilst killing themselves and other INNOCENT people (which are both against the 10 commandments of Islam & Christianity) ... i shall have to leave it for you to decide :-)

Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people.
