Well, these people who are credited with starting religions (Horus, Moses, Abraham, Mo hammed, Jesus, Zoroaster, Gautama Buddha) become more than just people. When we look back at them through the holy books and the oral traditions handed down they are always more than human. They are holy. Most of the time the actual person did not paint themselves that way. They were usually humble and did a lot of good things.

Along with being elevated to the status of gods on earth comes the re-framing of any things they did which might be considered bad. Such as having sex with a minor.

See, if you are a god, then you can do that. It's in the god rules.

Anyway, back to your question. . . Mo hammed is part of the Credo of Islam. One of the things they say in that religion goes something like this: "There is only one God, Allah, and Mo hammed is his prophet."

That is the purpose he serves. He is the go-between for humanity to connect with God. He and all the others are the ideals people should strive for.

Jesus is the go-between/ideal for Christians. Krishna for some Hindus, and so on.

The only problem with all that is, however, that a few modern-day people who try to start cults and such justify child sexual abuse, terrorism, and criminal behavior based on their alleged inspiration from God.

Cases in point: Jim Jones, David Kohresh, some world leaders, and a whole slew of minor players that did not make a splash on the national media radar screen. Islam is not the only religion that has been used to justify violence and world domination. Christianity has done its share. Hindu holy books are filled with war stories. So are the old and the new testaments. If it wasn't for all the begating going on between all the battles and wars, not to mention the repeated attempts by God, or Angels, Etc, to wipe us off the face of the earth. . . I guess none of us would be here.

There are difference of opinion of scholars regarding the age of Aisha (pbuh) at the time of her marriage with Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), some say 9 , Some say 12 and some say 15. The exact age is not confirmed.

Likewise, the Christian scholars have discrepancy of opinion regarding the age of Mary (pbuh) at the time of birth of Jesus (pbuh), some say 14 , and some say 16.

Aisha pbuh was reached at the age of puberty when she married prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Islam says that anyone can marry when he or she reaches his or her puberty. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married with Aisha (pbuh) by her will. Aishah was most pleased with this marriage. Her parents were very pleased with this marriage.

The incident took place 1400 years ago in warm climate region. It should be noted that in the hot regions, it’s normal for a girl to attain maturity at a very early age, India, Saudi Arabia and, other equatorial countries. Even today in these countries, there are cases reported of early maturity. Thus the case is totally different from that which does exist in cold regions where a girl does not attain puberty before 21 [Physicians maintain that the age of puberty in hot regions normally ranges from 9 to 16].
