As a growing teenager, you need around 2,500. Once you're fully grown, you need around 2,000. Maximum? Well you can survive on loads but then if you keep gaining weight to the point where you're clinically overweight, then it's obviously too much.
Take heed of others' advice - you know your body best. You need to eat a good varied diet and you need regular exercise. DO NOT EVER starve yourself - I was anorexic and it nearly killed me. It's so much harder to beat it than it is to let yourself get sucked into it, but it IS possible if you're willing to work at it. However, I've screwed up my metabolism, my fertility, and I hurt a lot of people during those years and I regret it SO much.
Enjoy yourself! You're only young once.

For every pound you want to weigh, you need ten calories, so if say you wanted to way 150....you need 1500 calories a day...anything under 1200 a day for a teenager is getting dangerous..you need calories also to think, not just to function...But, be careful as others are warning you...do NOT fast and try to starve yourself to lose weight...we all want to get it of NOW...but you can do irreversible damage to your body if you go that route...Good luck, and be sensible..get more excessive and just cut back ...God Bless

Teenagers should not use calorie control as their bodies are still growing, stick to 2000 calories a day.

Actually, teenagers need a lot more than 1 200 calories a day. Your body is growing and therefore using a lot of energy that other people don't need. You can seriously damage your body if you starve it, so please don't.
Cut out junk food, eat three proper meals a day. Heat healthily for your body's sake, don't starve it.

do NOT go there young lady!!!! you eat at least 1200 a day and more if you still feel hungry.
If weight is an issue for you try exercise too, but do not even think about starvation dieting it will affect you for a very long time.
