"Examples of the most common paranoid symptoms are:

delusions of persecution, reference, exalted birth, special mission, bodily change, or jealousy;

hallucinatory voices that threaten the patient or give commands, or auditory hallucinations without verbal form, such as whistling, humming, or laughing;

hallucinations of smell or taste, or of sexual or other bodily sensations; visual hallucinations may occur but are rarely predominant.

Thought disorder may be obvious in acute states, but if so it does not prevent the typical delusions or hallulcinations from being described clearly. Affect is usually less blunted than in other varieties of schizophrenia, but a minor degree of incongruity is common, as are mood disturbances such as irritability, sudden anger, fearfulness, and suspicion. "Negative" symptoms such as blunting of affect and impaired volition are often present but do not dominate the clinical picture.
The course of paranoid schizophrenia may be episodic, with partial or complete remissions, or chronic. In chronic cases, the florid symptoms persist over years and it is difficult to distinguish discrete episodes. The onset tends to be later than in the hebephrenic and catatonic forms."

You may want to ask a trusted friend if you smell. If you do, then change your deoderant and use a better soap and problem solved!

If it's not that simple, there are many medical (not psychiatric) reasons that could cause "symptoms" of "paranoid schizophrenia." In that case, you should go to a competent medical doctor and get a physical and blood test to see if you have a vitamin deficiency, a lack of certain amino acids, a hormonal imbalance a low functioning thyroid or any number of other physical ailments that can cause you to have problems such as those you're experiencing. You can find a good doctor here: http://www.alternativementalhealth.com I got a doctor through the site and went to her to see if she could help me with feelings of anxiety and depression that I'd been experiencing -- her blood test revealed I was low in Vitamin B12 and Calcium among other things (B12 and Calcium deficiencies cause depression and disorganized thinking) So now I'm on megavitamin therapy and feel much better.

Just be sure you don't go to a psychiatrist. They're quacks and their theories are unproven. They do no tests. They just label people and prescribe dangerous drugs. Learn the truth about psychiatry here: http://www.cchr.org It's the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), a Human Rights group that works for psychiatric reform.

I highly recommend the CCHR site as there's a lot of misinformation out there about mental health issues and the site answers questions like "are there any tests to verify the existence of any mental illness?" and "how do psychiatrists decide what constitutes a mental illness?" and "if psychiatric medications are necessary to correct a chemical imbalance how do they know you have a chemical imbalance and is there a concept of what a correct chemical balance would look like?" I think you will find the DSM section very interesting.

why dont you ask a friend if you have B.O.?
its better to get that out of the way, rather than make yourself go crazy..

showering everyday might not be enough, do you

floss your teeth?
use mouthwash?
use anti persperant?
wash your clothes regularly?
lastly not being funny but....change your underwear everyday?

do these things and theres no way you could have body odour....
