Why would anyone, including the lebanese people, really believe promises from Hesbolah and depend on it. Obviously they didn't care about the lebanese homes, community, and country to begin with. Besides, Hesbolah doesn't have the compassion to really do that for them. They are purely about violence. They TARGETED innocent Lebanese people concentrated in a building for shelter by shooting missiles from those locations to lead Israeli Defense Forces target that area, resulting in killing those innocent people. Hesbolah did this on purpose to place extra blame on Israeli military to make them look worse. They are a conniving, vindictive, and evil force. Nothing good could possibly come of their movement even if they were to succeed.

Actually, I've heard that Hezbollah has done a lot for Lebanon citizens in the past. When the Lebanese government won't help, they turn to Hezbollah. They've built schools and hospitals for people. It's probably just an attempt to gain support by showing the citizens of Lebanon that "Hey, we're not so bad. We help you guys!" And I'm sure they'll continue to do so when they get some plans and money organized.

Here is a taste of the "Christian world" food programme:
Lebanon's pain grows by the hour as death toll hits 1,300
They are digging them up by the hour, the swelling death toll of the Lebanon conflict. The American poet Carl Sandburg spoke of the dead in other wars and imagined that he was the grass under which they would be buried. "Shovel them under and let me work," he said of the dead of Ypres and Verdun. But across Lebanon, they are systematically lifting the tons of rubble of old roofs and apartment blocks and finding families below, their arms wrapped around each other in the moment of death as their homes were beaten down upon them by the Israeli air force. By last night, they had found 61 more bodies, taking the Lebanese dead of the 33-day war to almost 1,300.
In Srifa, south of the Litani river, they found 26 bodies beneath ruins which I myself stood on just three days ago. At Ainata, there were eight more bodies of civilians. A corpse was discovered beneath a collapsed four-storey house north of Tyre and, near by, the remains of a 16-year old girl, along with three children and an adult. In Khiam in eastern Lebanon, besieged by the Israelis for more than a month, the elderly village "mukhtar" was found dead in the ruins of his home.

To remove the terror threat it will take more than aerial bombardment by the west and Israel. It will take the people of these nations standing up against these killers. But until they have the courage, I fear we will see continued bloodshed and violence.

All the food and aid came from the christian west? That's not true.
1. The UAE Ministry of Health has sent medical aid via air cargo to Lebanon as part of an ongoing relief campaign. The cargo includes four portable electrocardiographs, four portable cardiac resuscitation machines, 24,000 baby milk cans and 6,500 basic meal cans.
2. Saudi Arabia gave $1.5 billion in aid to Lebanon, including $500 million for reconstruction and $1 billion to be deposited in Lebanon's Central Bank to support the economy.
3. In correspondence with Jordan's pan-Arab supportive role to Lebanese brethren in their ordeal due to the Israeli aggression, His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the armed forces, gave orders to send a field hospital to offer medical services to Lebanese brethren on the Lebanese soil.
4.Turkey sent 1.2 million USD humanitarian aid to Lebanese people, officials said.
Releasing a statement, Turkish MFA said that Turkish government decided to send aid of 1 million USD to Lebanon and 200,000 USD to Syria where displaced Lebanese citizens took refuge.
It noted that foodstuff --including 150 tons of rice, 200 tons of sugar, 100 tons of haricot beans, 150 tons of lentils, 150 tons of peas, 50 tons of jam, 50 tons of biscuit and 50 tons of infant formula were sent.
5. Kuwait put a deposit of 500 million dollars with Lebanon's central bank and granted Beirut 300 million dollars in reconstruction aid following the Israeli onslaught on the country.
The government "decided to deposit 500 million dollars with Lebanon's central bank, in addition to Kuwait's grant of 300 million dollars to (help) rebuild what was destroyed by the Israeli aggression,"
Hezbollah is keeping it's promises:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060816/ap_on_re_mi_ea/mideast_hezbollah_rebuilds_5
Hezbollah didn't provoke the war. Israel used the lame excuse of the two abducted soldiers to start this war which was planned for over a year. "Israel's military response by air, land and sea to what it considered a provocation last week by Hezbollah militants is unfolding according to a plan finalized more than a year ago."

And I say lame excuses because the abduction of enemy soldiers happen all the time, but no one starts an all out war because of it. The only reason Hezbollah abducted the two soldiers was because it wanted to exchange them for other Arab and Muslim prisoners (including Women and Children) that Israel has:
# of Juvenile Prisoners: 342
# of Women Prisoners: 122
# of Administrative Detention Prisoners: 775
# of Solitary Confinement Prisoners: 117
Israeli forces regularly confiscate private land; imprison individuals without process – including children – and physically abuse them under incarceration; demolish family homes; bulldoze orchards and crops; place entire towns under curfew; destroy shops and businesses; shoot, maim, and kill civilians – and Palestinians are without power to stop any of it.
If Israel just exchanged prisoners, many innocent people would still be alive today.
