Second language is the supporting language other than the mother tongue. It is may not be your native language. It is very important to have more knowledge about other language. I hope that you have understood the meaning of the second language

a second language is the language that is learned second to the first language a person learns in life. like if you were born in Germany and you started out with German, and then moved to Spain and learned Spanish. Spanish is your secondary language.

A second language is another language that you can speak. Whatever you grew up with ( English probably ) is called your native tounge. . Because you grew up with it but used the other one. Like if your spanish yet your school speaks english. You would be switching inbetween languages. So whatever one you don't use that often is called your second tounge.

A second (2nd) language is another language you speak/learn after your native language (native language is the first language).
For example, my native language is Indonesian, English is my second language, German is my third language, and Mandarin is my fourth, and so on.
There is no minute language, and we speak the 2nd language (and so on) at the same speed as we talk our native languages ;-)

It's the "other" language you speak/read/write other than your native language.
e.g. If you mainly speak/read/write English, then a second language can be Spanish, French, Italian, etc.

No, 2nd language, not as in seconds, but as in 2nd to the 1st language you already speak, hopefully speak. Learning another language would be your 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th, etc.
