RN do each and every thing different than perscribe medicine, it is the medical doctors interest. As an RN, you would be in cost of each and every thing the nurse does for you in the generic practitioner's place of work. if your with the elderly you will desire to scrub them, help them walk from room to room, help feed them often times, etc.... RN's can cope with a social life, it relatively is purely complicated as a results of fact maximum shifts are everywhere from 9-12 hours long. De-stressors relies upon from person to person. some hear to music, others artwork out, others write down what handed off to them in a diary, issues like that. there is not any gender discrimination between woman and male nurses, now. The well-being facility i volunteered at had an 'worker of the month' board and a male nurse continuously had good spot.

I would agree with Astorian, a lot of male nurses go into Mental health, but you can work just about anywhere gender aside. ER, OR, oncology, medicine, peds just to name a few. I have just never seen a male nurse in L&D or Post Partum. (and they do not generally accept male nursing students in my experience)
