Well we all lived in tribes once and if everybody claimed the land their tribe was living on 5.000 years ago there would be a world war.
The modern state of Israel was created after WW2 by illegal jewish immigrants from Europe who formed terrorist gangs and committed atrocities against the British administering power and the indigenous population of christian and muslim arabs.
The worst of these was the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem (over 90 dead).
They drove out the British and attacked the arabs many of whom left for refugee camps where they have been ever since , others were massacred, sometimes whole villages.
In 1948 the UN passed a resolution to divide Palestine into arab and jewish sectors to try to stop the bloodshed.
As time has shown this was the worst decision the UN has ever made.
The dispossessed arabs were not consulted on this and rejected the plan.
The State of Israel was declared in 1948 and many of the terrorists were in subsequent governments.
The jews have attacked neighboring countries in 1948, 1956 and 1967 and seized more land.
In 1973 the arab countries tried to regain this land but failed.
In all of this period Israel was armed and supported by the USA

Nicholas my friend. I understand that you are angered at this and all but you have got to get things right when you speak.
Palestine was under British rule NOT American rule and Israel got it back in 1948, the same year that Israel became a nation again.
How long do we have to hear about "kin" fighting each other. Read the Bible or the Koran and they will tell you that a son of a Hebrew was the ancestor of Mohammad.
Palestine thousands of years before the Exodus was inhabited by the Philistine people who were driven out of Crete by another warring nation.
The trouble with both parties is they don't want to settle differences because then they will both see how murderous they have been over the many years of conflict.
Back in 1948 an Israeli terrorist group bombed abd killed many British soldiers, local Palestinian civilians including women and children, the leader of that group was Menachem Begin who later became the Prime Minister of Israel.
What are the legitimate and fair rules my friend, are they Arab rules, Israeli Rules, Amrican rules or rules of humanity....and who will listen to those rules, who will make sure they are acted upon and the wrong doers punished.
I am Australian and live thousands of miles away from the conflict. I don't have to worry about getting blasted every day of my life BUT I think the only way for peace is for all countries to give up weapons........No more weapons at all. Settle the thing by mapping out a future for generations not just death and poverty.

See its people like you that spout off info that they heard from some other uneducated idiots that keep the problem going. There had never been a country called Palestine. Israel never stole any land. Treaties gave the Palestinians land after the World War, the treaty also gave the Jews some land that no one wanted. The Arabs in their infinite wisdom told the Palestinian people to reject the land and they should fight the Jews to get all the land. They did this and the Arabs got their butts kicked. Israel then gained land from the war and then gave it all back. Egypt and Jordan came along and tried to controll the land an they in fact suppressed the people for a long time, not the Jews. So do everyone a favor and pick up history book instead of spewing stupidity. Besides, Israel is a small strip of barren land that noone wanted when it was available. It is a small speck on the map compared to all the Arab land. If the Arabs cared so much about the Palestinians, why dont they give them some of their unused land?

Here is a quick history lesson, before syria iran lebenon and israel were their own counties that whole land was lead by i believe the ottoman empire after ww1 (the empire supported germany) lost its hold on that area by the end of ww2 the un started to divy out the land between the arabs and the jews. The jews signed an agreement with the un to have the land that they were given but the arabs wouldn't have it so they were setting up an attack from egypt and syria but israel was well armed and trained and attacked them before they could get hit.........long story short the israel have given up more land that they have won just to have peace. correct me if i am wrong but if you win a fight you keep the spoils of the war, if the arabs would get off there high horse and say they want peace there would be peace they dont own the land and they never will they want all the jews dead and every other non muslim dead read and try to understand the muslim relgion and the history behind all of the fighting then you are able to state an actual educated opinion that people can really debate about

What you are failing to take note of is that the people of Israel didn't just randomly pick that region. There was a reason that they wanted that specific land and it is because they have their history there. Infact there have always been Jewish/Israeli people in the region of Israel consistently (or Palestine, whatever you want to call it) from biblical days. They have just always been getting kicked out, attacked, massacred, etc. throughout history. But they have always rebuilt and those ancient remnants and buildings exist today. The name Palestine was never declared by any Muslim/Arab/Islamic group. It was given that name by the Romans a long long time ago. So basically, there is a fundamental reason behind this. Basically, the Jewish/Israelis are the Native Americans' of that land who have constantly dealt with disorientation as a people by constantly being killed off or exiled from their own country.

Your reasoning is foolish.
Lets extrapolate your little example about the bike and your 6 yo brother.
If he stole the bike from ME to begin with, then I go and kick his a$$ and take back what was rightfully mine to begin with, how is that stealing on MY part???
Why would you or anyone else for that matter, have any sympathy for your little brother, who took the bike, knowing it was not his?
Kind of like the Palestinians. When Israel was enslaved by the Romans and the Jews were sold into worldwide slavery, and their lands dispersed and sold 2,000 years ago, and the nomadic tribes of Bedouins, whom we now refer to as Palestinians moved onto those lands to claim them as their own, where was the outrage?
Why do people only look 50-75 years back in history, without knowing the real history that stretches back millenia?
Read your history fool!
That land was not the Palestinians to begin with!
You know what? I'm sure the land YOU live on was not yours either. It was taken away to be given to you or whoever owns it if you're renting. Stop being a hypocrite and give your land back!
By the way, Israel was carved out by UN, not US, mandate. Go blame them! Not the US.

The State of Israel was formed by the United Nations, not the United States.
Agreed, the UN is pretty worthless, but its participation in the formation of Israel is a fact.
Your analogy is flawed...unless you believe that the Palestinians simply suddenly popped up out of a cornfield somewhere in the Middle East and that the Islamic Tradition has existed for over 5,000 years.
It's also inappropriate to equate basic human rights with property law. That's why civilized countries don't execute a 5-year-old child who shoplifts a package of gum...even though it would protect the property rights of the store owner.

Ground facts can hardly be ignored. Main role played by foreign power was Britain probably on human ground. Israel is member of United Nations and most powerful country in the middle east.Palestinian have their own Government. Israel has handed over Gaza strip recently. Other area in the custody of Israel have large population of Jews.

Palestine has never been a "people." The so called palestinians do have a homeland of their own it is called Jordan and Syria. The Jews belong in Israel. The arabs do not. The muslims think that Jerusalem is the place where Mohammed (the perverted pedophile) ascended into heaven, but the Koran says that he ascended from a mosque. There wasn't any mosque in Jerusalem in mohammed's time, so Jerusalem isn't even the 3rd holiest site in Islam.
Anyway, what I am getting at is the fact that mohammed was nothing but perverted pig droppings.

Let me use a metaphor for this:
I live in a nice house in Seattle. 1000 years ago a certain people lived on my plot of land and back then it was perfectly theirs.
Do these people right now have the right to come into my house and kick me out because they have been oppressed and seem to be living on the land they owned thousands of years ago. Hell no, I have the right to bear arms and trust me I will use them if you even try to loiter in my fron yard.
Only difference with Palestine is that the people who are trying to take my house have the help of the mayors office and he is going to have all kinds of other weapons to kick me out with, but trust me I will die fighting for my land. God Bless America and anyone who dies to protect their land anywhere.
