They were abused as children, they didn't get enough ego strokes so in a very childish way, they come in here trying to build up their own ego by insulting others.
Cheap shots from the cheap seats- but thats OK.
Just because they don't believe in God, they will when they die or when Jesus returns- I'm sure that God or Jesus the Son will take the time for a personal if breif introduction just before Judgement

Why is this question asked 100 times a day? Why can't the people who don't think that Atheists know anything about religion take 5 seconds to do a search and see that this question is asked every day? Just wondering...

Im reading these answers to your question, and I cant help but notice that some of these "christians" say that atheists do nothing but insult and bash everyone in the religion/spirituality section.
Dont these so-called christians know that they are doing the exact same thing? By demoralizing atheists and saying they do bad things, you, yourself are doing those same actions.
Is that all some christians think atheists are? Why bash the "basher"?

The Fool Has Said . . .
Atheists are naturally offended by the Bible’s declaration that “the fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Ps. 14:1a; 53:1a). The meaning of this statement is not that atheists are stupid or lacking in intelligence, but that the denial of God is evidence of the moral corruption in their thinking. Nor is this statement aimed solely at atheists per se. The very next lines assert that “there is none who does good” and that they have all “become corrupt” (Ps. 14:1b-3; 53:1b-3). The apostle Paul quotes these lines to prove that all human beings are morally corrupt and deserve God’s judgment (Rom. 3:9-12).
The folly or foolishness of atheism, then, is ultimately just one particularly overt expression of the universal impulse in human beings to turn away from the true and living God and to follow a path of their own choosing. If the Bible is right, atheism will fall into patent foolishness, not because atheists are intellectually challenged but because they are intellectually prejudiced against God. Moreover, in discerning the foolishness of atheism we will also be seeing the foolishness to which we are all prey apart from God’s gracious revelation of himself to us.

I slam stupidity in any section: the beautiful simplicity of free speech..
However in regard to being an Atheist in the religion section: I am genuinely interested in spirituality and religion per se, and from a philosophical point of view - I need to know that my opinion is correct, I have read lots of things from Christians and Muslims that have made me stop and think...
Of course, I have read a lot of rants on there too that I tend to want to react to as well!
I am on here to be A. Silly as hell and B. learn stuff occasionally...
I hope that I believe that no point of view is wrong

If I didn't believe in God, I would still find the conversations happening on this forum to be endlessly fascinating from a cultural point of view. Discussing Religion and Spirituality doesn't require belief, thank God. It would be really boring if it did.

I hang out in the "All Categories" section. I can't help replying when I see a really dumb question. That's very often in the "Religion/Spirituality" section.
Also I go there for a laugh some times. To see people asking what they'll be reincarnated as or where will their soul go etc.

Good question.(I don't hang out in the religion section regardless of my beliefs). But anyway,Atheists may be trying to accost Christian believers, but on the other hand I don't think a person is allowed to be 'no religion' per say,so Atheists have to relate to religious people in a religious environment-since it concerns religion.Similar to race-you almost can't avoid other race people nowadays, you've GOT to deal with them.

I'm not atheist, but I am agnostic. I find religion extremely interesting. Nothing has impacted society more than religion. I like to understand where everyone is coming from with their views and learn a much as I can about many beliefs while expressing my own on occasion.

lol, just because i don't believe in god doesn't mean that i haven't studied religion or that i don't have an opinion about it.
i don't hate religious people either.
many atheists have studied religion at length and can intelligently comment on things they don't believe in.
i may not have a car at the moment but i may know a lot about cars. one does not exclude the other.

Well, I believe in all kinds of religions. I'm also working on a master's in mythology, and religions are a big part of that. I find religions endlessly fascinating, and I love to know why people believe what they do.
Aside from that, my personal "religious mission" is to encourage people to think outside the box, to question their premises, and to educate themselves and decide what they think and believe before taking anyone else at their word.
