3. God does exist and is good but is non-interventionist

Given the commonly used defintion of the word "God," there are only three logical choices.
"non-interventionist" means he doesn't care enough to get involved.

I am an atheist. My own beliefs (or non-beliefs) do not generally influence my assessment of the answer.
If you are referring to being selected for "best answer," my most recent "best answer" went to a Mormon. And, I give "best answer" based on the answer, not my beliefs (or non beliefs).

4. God exists. The only reason there are wars and natural disasters is because God wants them to happen to see if your faith still goes unwavering even after you have been befallen with hardships and such.
It's like a test. Before u get your degree, u need to go through an exam to see if you're good enough to get one. God does all these things to see if you're fit enough to be placed in Heaven.
Remember, you don't live forever on earth. You will go some where after u die. Your whole life on earth is a test.

Interesting....
Non-intervention is the golden get out clause for the people justifying God sitting back and allowing the bad things to happen...
To me God can not exist: however I have been moved to consider recently what this means to me...
How can something not exist? how can we have a name for something that doesn't exist? If it exists in the hearts and minds of men and women (Whether tanglible or not) then it exists....
It is the beauty of the human imagination: but for that reason is an article of faith it has become a tangible thing..
I am intrigued by the possiblities of proving God's existance as I believe that if he did show, religion would necessarily have to close down (which is the opposite of what theists believe)..
Proof denies faith, The Bible (for example) has survived by being manipulated by the church to justify whatever their current agendas are....If God came along and answered questions directly...people would not need faith anymore, people would not need to go to church anymore....as it would be like believing in the Queen of England...she exists, woo-pee-doo!

Well I think that God doesn't exist because I'm an atheist (but not a hardcore one), but I'm open to the idea of an omnipotent being creating the universe. However I don't think this omnipotent being will interact with his creations on a personal level like answering prayers and showering them with infinite love *cough* sickening *cough*

I choose 3. I disagree with your definition of non interventionist. For me , it doesn't mean God doesn't care. He gave men the power and ability to choose . And humans are responsible for their actions. God is said to watch over fools and kids , though.
( yeah , I am a christian by birth , not a strong believer , dont attend church , keep a minimum faith with me . Believe in science a lot . But you appear to be more mature than I am , from your pic atleast )

God is a human invention - to make meaning of human life and continuity.... else we will be like mosquitos... here today... gone tomorrow...
the presence of so many religions itself is proof that there is no one god...which in turn means that there is no GOD (if there are many gods, then who is their god, and their god, the all powerful could have created a single religion/GOD, if he cant then he is a powerless GOD's GOD - which in turn is NO GOD).
The requirement of GOD to be propitiated, worshipped exclusively for things to get done - etc.. shows GOD is trapped in an EGO, jealous, vengeful states - which again are HUMAN Base feelings.
Prayer fallacy: IF all were to pray, to become millionaires, and if there is a god, then GOD can make everyone a millionaire. This doesnt happen. This means that prayers or otherwise there wont be any external differance.... this in turn means that life is completely a random brownian motion.
Finally: Gods exist because men have created them - we require gods. we require prayers, because... having gods and prayers, will force us to think that we can apparently change the brownian motion...since any state in the brownian motion is indeterminate... we will lie to rest beliving that our current state was because of our prayers and our god...

The only way I could think of it, if I believed, is that God is just putting his feet up and enjoying the bloody, violent show. Non-interventionist, with a morbid fascination for pain and suffering

You missed one. God exists but does not care. He has no ethics,he is both good and evil or even better the terminology does not apply. Just like nature.

I'd go for number 3, but do feel the list of choices could be expanded. Another option for example could be to reflect the possibility we chose to be born here and to learn certain lessons while alive (including painful ones). Through this we grow spiritually.

None of them. And all of them. At the same time. Along with several thousand other options.
Which is slightly difficult to do without getting a headache, but it's certainly possible.
