Why do females get mad if you date their ex, especially if they are your friend?

This happens all the time. I can see getting upset if your current man and your friend get together but if he is your ex then what is the big deal. That whole thing about its more respectful to ask to date your ex is just dumb. I never understood this, someone break it down for me. He's the ex! If anything I'd want to know why the relationship didn't work out. Was he a jerk? What? Let me know so I don't waste my time.

well i dont actually know y people have a problem with friends dating their ex's. but like u said i'd find out why they broke up first, ur friend might be trying to protect you from an a$$hole.

It's probably because girls want to retain exclusive rights to a man even after they've broken up. There are things that happen in a relationship that are very private. Secrets that one would not want to go public. When a girl breaks up with his boyfriend she loses control over these private matters and if her boyfriend is a jerk, who would hit on her best friend, them that's just, well, you tell me.

We are possessive. We shouldn't be when it comes to men, especially if they are a thing of the past, but sometimes its hard to accept that we have to move on, even if we already have.

why of all guys,its your freind's ex youre going out with..?? turn the question to yourself, are you really a friend that you didnt consider of her reaction if she finds out your dating his ex..??

because they can't bear the idea that he will be doing the same things with their friend that he did with them or he might even treat them better.
