If you would like to come to britain to study you need to apply for a student visa and a work permit this could be done through the british consulate in Srilanka. and you need to consualte the home office in england . you can get holod of them on the internet the address is www.homeoffice.gov.uk or try and find it on one of the search thatr is the easiest way i can help you good luck.

Okay, do you know I'm going to hate myself for this? Sum up what money you have. Work hard, work long, and take every oppertunity you can to watch flight lines. Wait long enough, and search online for the cheapest tickets to the UK. Then, when you feel you are ready, go for the bargain buy, and hop out of Sri Lanka. I can't make it any simpler than that, cause it ain't simple. In fact, it's terribly hard. But then, everyone has to work hard, otherwise there isn't much point in living.

UK for work and study has become unattractive.Besides cost factor ,the locals themselves are finding difficult to find even parttime employment.There are 6000 unemployed indian doctors in UK working in petrol bunks or doing odd jobs.USA and Australia may be better place.If you want education only ,medical and technical education is cheaper in China(but no employment).Ukraine is another cheap place for study.
