It's not just the Bible and Christianity that consider homosexuality wrong, but also Judaism, Islam, most of the world's great religions that have law based scripture. I will add, though, I know a few people in RL who are atheist and who also view homosexuality as wrong simply based on logic of the natural world. Obviously two members of the same gender cannot mate as a male and female couple can mate. Thus in response to "Are people brainwashed?", yes, they must be, by the gay rights activists. They may be a small group of people but they do exercise a lot of political power.

When you say "why would God create a homosexual if it is wrong" you miss the point. God created us with free will to chose between what is good and what is not.

You might as well ask why did God make Adam and Eve if he knew that they would sin. God does not tempt us or lead us into evil, He does however allow us to be tempted but never tempted more than we can resists.

Insulting Christians by calling us morons, bigots or backwards doesn't change the truth or even address the issue. Name calling just shows that you are fustrated because you know we are right yet you can't counter what we say.

Because those people would usually express the belief that homosexuality isn't a choice. It is believed to be something that someone is simply born with, much like any other symptom someone may be born with (positive or negative, weather it be a disease or rare ability). A significant amount of homosexuals explain that they have experienced their homosexual feelings from as far back as they can remember because it is natural for them. On that note, nature is full of abnormalities that can be rare or prevolent. Abnormal is what is natural because there is no set standard or normalcy.
From another standpoint, they did nothing to choose or deserve any burdens that homosexuality may bring. So why should they go to hell for something that was basically pre-determined (not by choice of the homosexual individual).

It is because they deny that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God.
It really has to do with sin. We live in a fallen world in which people commit sins like homosexuality. They also commit other sins like denying God's word. By denying that homosexuality is a sin they sin.

It also has to do with them not understanding that as Christians we can love the sinner but hate the sin. We don't call homosexuality a sin to make the homosexual feel "bad" but because we love them and want to see them saved. God commanded us to hate what he hates and God hates sin of every kind and will punish sin but he also sent His son to die and pay for those sins on the cross. Christ's death on the cross paid in full for all sin of all those who will accept Him.

In short - because they are not Christians.

I'm afraid you are confusing the issue. Life has been practicing homosexuality for untold millions of years. We the mew kids on the block are no different. God the Bible and laws have nothing to do with the fact that homosexuality occurs naturally and not only. You get the full gamut of sexual practices, polygamy harems both male and female, orgies you name it it happens in nature. So whatever gives you the idea that we are different. The bible and other texts are reflecting very personal attitudes and nothing more.Just because a philosophical book says so it does not make it so.
