People luv to take advantage of those who have good hearts.When you are friendly,people think you like them.When you borrow them money or something they think they can do it all the time without giving u back.When u invite them out they think they can always have you.Generally they take advantage of our good nature.Does anybody agree with me?Does it mean I must change my ways just to get somewhere in life.Maybe i should start tramping their toes.

Aw don't worry, i understand how you feel. A lot of people borrow money from me sometimes and they never pay me back! It annoyed me and I felt bad when I had to ask them about it. Sometimes I feel the way you feel...when people seem to take advantage of you like you're a wallflower or something. But to answer your question, you don't need to change. You have a big heart and that's one of the greatest things a person can have. Even if people walk all over you it is worth being nice to people because it makes you feel good. Granted there are times when I want to hit them for being imbeciles and jerks...anyway, stay the way you are but maybe you can assert yourself a little more. Set boundaries for yourself. If someone crosses it, tell them. You don't need to trample on their toes; just let them know that you're not going to be a wallflower. well...i hope that helped.

Yeah it's always worth being nice, even if only for your own sake. If people take advantage, find some new friends, those others are not good enough for you.

The day you become unpleasant, your life has changed forever. But you have to protect yourself too, and lending money is not a good thing to do. People always take advantage, as do the people here that like to hide behind pen names and mock and scorn sincere questions...but don't change! You can control people with your positive attitudes...but you can also say NO.

I will give someone a jump if their car battery died or maybe change a persons tire and go on my way, but I think it's because I drove so much and try to follow the rules of road courtesy.
I'd appreciate the same favor...
Otherwise, in everyday life, I won't lend money, give a cigarette, have extended guests, loan my car... etc, unless I want to or if it is in some way to MY benefit.
I have been burned too many times. No more.

Sweetheart, I am the point you are, and even contemplated turning evil and posted this as a question here (see my 360). Despite all that, it is up to those with good hearts and good demeanor to continue the fight. Don't change your ways, but DO use a bit more abruptness when dealing with people who try to prey on your goodness. The Bible says to rebuke, and that means to be blunt and to the point when someone crosses you, so don't be afraid to tramp toes. That's what stops people who ARE nice, because they are afraid to hurt someone's feellings, when it's the good person's feelings that are already hurt. Trust God, and He will steer you through, so pray with Jesus in your heart, and changes will be made in yourself and for those who are out to cause problems. The Lord's Prayer has a verse that states, "Forgive us our trespasses and those who trespass against us". I am a very, very weak Christian, but I will pray for you, as it sounds like you have a very caring heart.

yes,i do agree with you,people luv to take advantage of those who have good hearts.. Thats why learn to say 'no' sometimes politely without hurting.. You are being nice to them without giving the people to take advantage of you...!

Do you have to be so cynical about everything? Of course in life, there are many men taking adavantage of others' good hearts. But not everyone is the same. Give help to others and you will receive unbelievable happiness! Life is always full of good things.

ya i totally agree with u and i believe of Carma that if been a good person it will gets back with good to u , and the people who take u for granted they are fools , cuz u are worth being cared for not took by granted , and if they lost your kind of person they will feel and know they lost and they suck , i hope it makes sense , and for your information i would to have some body like u

Being nice to other people means not waiting for any return or expecting other people to be good at you. If you give wholeheartedly people may not reciprocate but God is watching and he knows your good deeds. So just keep on doing nice to other people!!!
