No where in the Bible has angels ever been represented as anything but males. He made Adam first, and Eve from one of his ribs, and even though Eve took the first bite of the fruit, it was Adam who made the choice of whether sin would enter into the world or not. The Levi Priests were all men, and one of the primary requirements to be in a leadership role in the Christian congregations was that the man was to be the head of a household in good standing. Jesus was male, but than he had to have been a duplicate of the man who brought sin into the world, in order to take it out again. God has favored males in most things, but as for his gender, calling him he is easier and better than calling God an it, which likely better describes him.
He is all things and yet none of them. From him came forth all this, whether it be a sun, a planet, a black hole, or a spot of dust. He didn't just create man and woman, he created the insects, including fleas, the animals, the fish, and the birds. He created viruses, bacterias, and germs. He created the matter that make up our existence, and the dark matter that lies between what we see and cannot see. All this is representative of what he is and is not. And though he did favor men, he always represented the importance of women, so without women, men are incomplete. Though women didn't lead the congregations, they fulfilled them. There were female prophets, and women received the blessing of the Holy Spirit, right along with the men, after the passing of Jesus.
The only reason to challenge the idea of whether God is a he or she, is to divert attention away from his teachings. It is only an issue as it relates to the equal rights of women, but this is a worldly issue, a political issue, and issue related to human governments, which God intends to destroy, anyway. It is a Christian's role to turn away from such things, because to keep turning back to the issues of the old world mean you will meet the same fate as it, or at least the same fate Lot's Wife met, when she could bring herself from completely turning away the old world they were leaving.

From a Christian perspective, God has both male and female attibutes.
Men and women were both created in his image, and how the physical sexes come together reflect the two core natures -- men tend to pursue/initiate (active use of power to enter another life), while women embrace (i.e., take inside and nurture).
The Jews had different names for God, describing his (generic pronoun) different roles, both masculine and feminine. Biblical metaphors about God also sometimes use female comparisons.
I also believe that whatever is created spawns from the creator... so since we have two genders here, I'd say that God incorporates both of them.

God is both.
The Christ used a male body while here on Earth.
But when God made the first person, 'he' made it in 'his' own image, then split it into male and female.
Also - El Shaddai is one of the names used for God, and is a female denoted name.
I think the 'He' and 'Father' etc, is just to pick a gender so we don't all get confused.

Who or what is god? God is the higher power. We don't know the true nature of god. God is everything and everywhere. If this is true, then God is neither male nor female. God cannot be classified as we classify ourselves and other beings, because that entity is timeless, no beginning, no end. Everything started with that which we call a huge variety of names, God being but one of them.

Funny. God couldn't be a woman. Think about it. Would another woman create a woman from a man's rib? She would have already had Her man, in her own world, and in paradise no less!
And what would a female have used the virgin Mary for?

I don't think that god has a gender. Either that, or it's a male and female duality.

What do mean "If God existed?" He does exist. He is eternal. He has been around for ever and will be around forever. Amen.

Hi Akh ... correct your statement:
There is no god but Allah.
and note that Allah has liked masculine gender for Himself; He is beyond being male female etc.
Your poor mind is narrow enough not to grasp His Divine concept
