If there were a god, and he were omnipotent, and omniscient, then WE have no free will.
Let me explain. Since the supposed god is omniscient, meaning he knows everything, then he knows the future, and the future can't turn out any other way than what he knows it to be...
Since the supposed god knows the future, and since he would have known it before each of use were made, then everything we do, he planned for it to happen. And because he is perfect, nothing can disobey his plans. So, we have no free will, because we are only doing what he meant to happen... We are merely pawns, bits of code in a program, and we have no choice.
Now, doesn't it say in the bible that we were given free will??? But how can we have free will if such a god as described in the bible exists? We can't. Either we DON'T have free will, or there is NO god...
Furthermore, if the god of the bible exists, that means that everyone that goes to hell was meant to go to hell... Lets say god makes a person. He already knows everything that person is going to do, and whether or not that person will go to hell. If the person IS going to hell, why would god make him??? Would that make god EVIL???
Any way you look at it, the stories in the bible DO NOT ADD UP... Either we are condemned before we are made by an EVIL god, or NO GOD EXISTS. Which do you choose?

Give me proof that god does exist! Saying that the Bible is proof doesn't count. Then we have to count all religious scripture as proof, and that means that all the gods every thought of also exist!

Oxymoronic question (no insult)
To prove God exists, given the fact that he only exists on a faith basis only, means that to prove God exists means that religion would necessarily have to fold...Faith and proof can not co-exist in our hearts and minds on this subject.
Think about what would happen to Christianity if God appeared one day, proved he existed....what would be the ramifications for nthe 2000 dogma people follow: the old Testement, the new testement...the newest testement?...who would be brave enough in our modern society to write the thing: the arguments would never end....

Atheists don't need proof that God doesn't exist.
Theists need proof that God DOES exist.
If I said that there was an Invisible Pink Unicorn among us that looked at everything we did then judged us, you wouldn't stand a chance in proving that She does not exist.
Thus, the Invisible Pink Unicorn is 100% every bit as credible and possible as your God.
If you make claims that there's an omnipotent, omniscient, all-knowing spirit that is judging my every move, you better have damn good proof.

The Fool Has Said . . .
Atheists are naturally offended by the Bible’s declaration that “the fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” (Ps. 14:1a; 53:1a). The meaning of this statement is not that atheists are stupid or lacking in intelligence, but that the denial of God is evidence of the moral corruption in their thinking. Nor is this statement aimed solely at atheists per se. The very next lines assert that “there is none who does good” and that they have all “become corrupt” (Ps. 14:1b-3; 53:1b-3). The apostle Paul quotes these lines to prove that all human beings are morally corrupt and deserve God’s judgment (Rom. 3:9-12).
The folly or foolishness of atheism, then, is ultimately just one particularly overt expression of the universal impulse in human beings to turn away from the true and living God and to follow a path of their own choosing. If the Bible is right, atheism will fall into patent foolishness, not because atheists are intellectually challenged but because they are intellectually prejudiced against God. Moreover, in discerning the foolishness of atheism we will also be seeing the foolishness to which we are all prey apart from God’s gracious revelation of himself to us.

The burden of proof falls on those to claim it's existance
Negative proof
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
This article is about a logical fallacy. The term negative proof can also refer to a proof of impossibility.
The fallacy of appealing to lack of proof of the negative is a type of logical fallacy of the following form:
"This exists because there is no proof that it does not exist."
Non-fallacious ways to prove something include the use of logical syllogisms and/or the incorporation of empirical observations. But it is not logical to argue that something exists simply because there is no proof to the contrary; one cannot say, "No one has proven that aliens do not exist. Therefore, based on that alone, they must exist, notwithstanding that I have no evidence that they do exist". Given (as it is above) that it was not proven that aliens do not exist, they might exist, but this alone does not prove them to exist.
Another common example is that, "A supernatural force must exist because there is no proof that it does not exist". However, the converse is also true, according to the argument from ignorance: One also cannot say that, "I have not seen proof that something supernatural exists, therefore a supernatural force cannot exist". Also, similar to the aliens in the above example, since no proof is available that this does not exist, it might exist, but this alone does not prove it to exist.

Okay, there are three options given what a state the world is in:
1. God does not exist
2. God does exist but is evil
3. God does exist and is good but is non-interventionist
Either way you're wasting your time with religion and praying.

No one can. One would feel really happy, if you (or anybody else) writes books based on experiences, which prove God's existence. For that matter, the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, is rather good.

You can't "prove a negative"....That's a basic principle of logic. Given your faulty reasoning the same argument could prove the existence of anything from Santa and the Easter Bunny.
Oh wait...you still believe in Santa too.......my apologies to yo momma for ruining your innocence.

There is no real proof that a god exists (or doesn't exist, for that matter).
