yes. i use a brita pitcher. i'm one of those crazy people that believe fluoride's bad for you. i'd also like to get rid of my mercury amalgam fillings, but "they" won't let me! hand to god. anyhow, the pitcher works well - the water in my building is foul - but i wonder, sometimes, if it's recommended change-of-filter date is proper for a single user, or even two (i suspect it's calibrated with a family in mind).

We have two large water filters with carbon that filter the water for the entire house. The filters need to be changed every month or two.

We use distilled water
