is there any software for sharing a HP/Canon scanner for sharing it on a LAN so that every PC connected to LAN can use it?
I have found one that is Remoteshare but it is a paid software and its cracked version is not available.

U can get Twain software version to connect remotely on network u can scan and get scanned images in networked system. First ur scanner can support Twain version of software first contact your hardware vendor and confirm.

U can get Twain driver in bundle pack with Multifunction Devices like HP Scanner, Fax, Copier, Network Printer etc. Even HP, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Brother are delivering along with Twain Driver to access scanner over network.

You didn't mention the model of your scanner. It would have been easy that way.

Anyway, the following website tells about the technologies used in sharing a scanner over network.

Since you have mentioned that ur scanner is TWAIN enabled, take a look at the following site that has a list of software that can share it across network
http://www.personalinformationorganizer.com/download/twain/

In recent scanners and MFPs from HP (network enabled), it comes with software drivers to share it across network. Just install that software and point it to the network device. There are also options like "Scan to PC" from the scanner interface itself that will scan and send it to the PC's shared directory.

There are also options in recent HP all in one devices that can share documents through what they call as HP instant share that can mail the images directly, can scan to USB drive etc etc.

Someone has already answered to this question. You can find out the

The only thing you have to do is to follow the instructions (and, also,
to replace the word "printer", with the word "scanner").
