They did but they are dead now. Used to get those pink wafer biscuits in one of those biscuit barrels with the lid that had a round compartment that had some granules of some sort to stop the biscuits from going damp.

I've only got my grandad. He's still uses the same tin from when we were little and I don't think it's ever been cleaned out. He just keeps replacing the biscuits so it smells. Therefore, we all tend to pass on the biscuits when he offers but the dogs love 'em. So the answer to your question is - he usually offers chocolate digestives or shortbread to the dogs.

My grandparents are all dead, but my grandma always had three biscuit tins, one of chocolate, one with cream filled and the last with crackers, as you can imagine we always headed for the chocolate tin. She always had Viscount, Clubs and Chocolate wafers, those were the days. Oh she also had Jaffa Cakes.

I'm a Granny, and yes I have a biscuit jar. Usually filled with Penguins 'biscuits that is' and milk chocolate rolls.
I also have 'a sweetie drawer' which has Twix bars, Maltesers and all kinds of chocolate.
Not very healthy, but a little of what you fancy does you good.

Mine are dead but you can bet if they weren't I'd still be getting offered stale supermarket's own brand digestives, stale fig rolls or stale lemon puffs that have polluted the other biscuits with their lemony aroma. Wait, what's this? A rogue shortbread finger hiding at the bottom? Bingo!

Sadly mine are long gone, but the children's grandmother (my mother) always gets the biscuit tin out - she doesn't eat many herself so they tend to be a bit soft - perhaps we should visit more often.

fundamentals like socks are a sturdy concept as they at the instant are not too own yet you are able to stilll supply them a festive twist - possibly you ought to grant a miles less costly p.c.. of regular ones and a pair each and every of bright christmas themed ones! uninteresting, i comprehend, yet what a pair of "returned to college" kit for the little lady? Pencils, pens, pencil case, paper, sharpener etc - stuff she will take to college, yet additionally issues she'll desire for homework like glue and scissors. A small, much less costly teddy can be a sturdy concept somewhat if she now no longer has hers - once you're cunning, you have got a bypass at personalising it! For her mum, how approximately some slippers, possibly a plant or 2 (poinsettias are purely £2 ish in the supermarkets) to make the recent place slightly extra like residing house. a contemporary voucher eg Boots or WHSmith, or some good 2nd hand books from a charity shop must be stable, and how a pair of television instruction manual to bypass with the television? A bale of towels would be stable (attempt Primark or maybe Tesco value- they at the instant are not very costly yet nevertheless seem superb). Sheets and different bedding have a tendency to be a private determination dictated with the aid of the decor, so are not unavoidably the best concept, yet you ought to consistent with probability grant to assist "do up" a room in the recent 12 months and set up it so as that a number of their purchases "by probability" fall into your trolley as you get to the checkout. Chocs, wine and different treats are a brilliant concept, yet keep in mind that different persons would have nevertheless a similar! i'd shop that somewhat constrained, yet possibly grant each and every of the storecupboard extras eg Cranberry sauce for his or her Christmas lunch, or some fancy pasta and bottled sauces "in case they become uninterested in turkey" - a sturdy thank you to assist out with nutrients with out them feeling like charity circumstances. If there are some human beings uncertain of what to get, why no longer advise splitting the value of components for christmas lunch ? handmade nutrients will actual be favourite, and mince pies and gingerbread are not costly or complicated to make. one subject I did for my sister whilst she went to Uni became into an "necessities" stocking - shampoo and bathe gel, a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant etc, and different little bits she'd desire yet did no longer unavoidably have - a salt and pepper set, egg cups, that kind of subject. desire this helps, and best desires to all in touch!
