Scan a bunch of family pictures onto a CD and give it to them.

Research your family tree and give them a copy.

Plan an entire day with them....like the county fair, then dinner, and then a movie....time might not be concrete, but they will appreciate it even more.

Grandchildren are always nice--if you are married.

See if there is anything practical that they need like a new major appliance.

If either one of them has ever had heart or circulatory problems a foot/leg massager would say, "I love you" in a big way.

I hope this has helped.

How big a present? On what occasion?

I mean, I know my mom (and probably my dad, although I don't know him enough to be 100% sure) would really love it if I presented them with a baby, but... I think I'll wait until I get a right father before I do that.

Anyway; I small present could include a set of nice scented candles, or something hand-made (like a patchwork quilt) for the house, or some music they both like. A bigger thing would be a set of really nice silverware or china, or an original painting they would enjoy, or even a good album of reproductions. A very big present would be - a holliday vacation / cruise someplace; a new bed... Things like that.

But it all depends on your resources - in terms of money, time, mobility (do you have a car to go look at things), and possibility to discuss the present with your parents.

Ask your parents what it is that they truly would love to have and take it from there.
No matter what you give them I know they will love because you cared enough to ask them and you showed how much you love them by giving them something they wanted dearly.
You're a good child and I think your parents know that too.
If you didn't love your parents you wouldn't be asking for advice.

I find that the best and cheapest thing to get your parents is bouquet of different types of flowers with a poem in a card, it made my parents shed tears of joy.

I think that anything that comes from the heart and that is special would be great. It doesn`t have to be something flashy, or expinsive. Just as long as there is a wonderful meaning behind it.

a card to let them know what great parents they are and how much you appreciate everything they have done for you, don't have to spend money on a gift.
