if you are not psychic, which I ain't , Eastern Philosophies give you a way to see hints of what we were in our previous lives.

eg. Observe a person eatting, some bring their food to their mouths ( whether eatting by hand or cutlery , thats cultural ) while some bring their mouths to their food... then observe how animals eat :)...Habits formed from previous incarnations will "leak thru" to give you hints.

Some have a natural flair for arts, while others cannot draw to save their lives. Our natural skills give us hints as to what we were most likely heavilly involved in previously.

When learning new skills, to some its like an uphill climb, for others it is like re-learning how to ride a bicycle after 20 years not riding, but just get it within minutes!!. Our aptitudes, attitudes and habits will show us.

There are of course some special people who do remember patches of previous lives, most of us forget as we start to age past 5.... to make way for new experiences. Many documented instances of people from far away, remembering where their previous incarnations used to "hide" personal artifacts.

One example is the current Dalai Lama told his previous incarnation's assistants ( who were really old already ) that his spectacles and travel shoes were in a certain cupboard. The old monks laughed thinking it was not possible because THEY were the ones in charge of keeping and arranging the previous Dalai Lama's things, but true enough due to respect for His Holiness they opened the cupboard and found the items exactly as where the child had said they would be, the previous Dalai Lama's SPARE pair of reading glasses and a pair of embroidered shoes.

Hope that was of interest to help you with the past lives theory.

P/s: Didnt the Prophet Malachi predict the return of Elijah as John the Baptist? That I think is a pretty clear cut sign that the Prophets of old did preach in reincarnation only maybe not as the way Easterners did. Will go double check on this fact and add later :)

I am almost fully determined this is not my first life around here. And I am almost certain that for the last few reincarnations I was male, and probably a loner too. There are also a few events in history to which I get inordinately strong reaction, even on first encounter when studying, so I suspect I was somehow involved in them, but I have no clue at what level.

The thing is, I seem to have moved on from those lessons, probably because I have learned them; I look at the challenges this life gives me, and I try to rise up to them, and that is all that matters, in the long run - make myself some good karma.

If anybody believes in past life means they are too much engrossed into one of their dreams. It requires treatment. My mind is a creation of my past life. My mind created my body. But the "I" never existed in any of these fragments. The current "I" exists only now. Then how can it re-born. I am not the same person as I was at 4th standard. But some experience, some feelings, some structure continued But I am sure, that "I" and this "I" are totally different. That means I am re-born through every seconds. Those who understands this, never will be born or never dies but, just become a part of a continuation....call it re-birth, re-incarnation, gene tranformation, mutation, para-psychology, sixth sense, extra terrestrial knowledge, etc etc. Or some times....I just felt like that.

Oh yeah... sure. Many lives. I get the information just through a kind of stream of consciousness... a KNOWING which is hard to explain. I am a writer and artist and the information just comes/flows (I don't have to create anything)... as they say, "truth is stranger than fiction."
As for your question regarding thoughts about where I lived/what I did/gender, one "memory" is that I lived somewhere in North Africa or somewhere in the Middle East... pre-Islamic days... when the society was matriarchal. I was a woman, still. What I did? A temple dancer. How's that?
What about you? What is your belief?

Your question sparks some interesting debate.... but I offer you this.

Currently, there are more people alive than if you were to add all the people who have EVER died in all of history.

So how can you have past lives, when there are so many people alive - unless not everyone has past lives. Can you explain this?

My answer to your question is simple. It has been appointed by God that man (kind) live only once, and then they die. You cannot live again and again. And as I earlier stated, the math doesn't support it.

My mom is really in to reincarnation and past lives so for me and all my siblings she had tapes done by a guy named John Davis who gives Numerology readings and he said that for every 3 male lives that i had, had 7 female lives and that i was in show business in one of those lives. I don't know if i believe all that but it was interesting to hear.

I don't believe in past lives because everyone I know who does believes that she was Cleopatra in a former life. They could not have all been her.
