If you had your TSH checked because you are taking levothyroxine for hypothyroidism and the result was a low TSH level, then that usually means that your current dose of levothyroxine is too high. It would make sense, then, to lower the medication dosage.
Think of it this way: TSH usually responds to the level of thyroid hormone available. If the thyroid hormone level is too high, then the TSH is suppressed (becomes lower). If the thyroid hormone level is too low, then the TSH level becomes higher.
In your case, the degree of suppression seems to be very mild. In order to avoid repeated medication dosage adjustments, it might be wise to repeat the test again before making any changes as long as you are not experiencing symptoms such as palpitations, sweaty palms, nervousness, insomnia or heat intolerance. Speak to your doctor.

In my hospital our range is from .27- 4.20, so you would be within normal range. Each hospital/laboratory is different dependant on type of reagent, quality control, etc. However, if your doctor who got the result said that it was low, if you are hypothyroid that means that he may increase your dose, if you are barely out of the range than he may continue to moniter and have you come in for another blood draw and if they are consistent; then up your dose. It could be that you missed a dose recently and the doctor doesn't want to up the dosage unless they have to.

If you are feeling ok then usually the doctor does not increase your dose, but if you are having symptoms of hypo, then you should tell the doctor and have him increase your meds. Only you can tell if you are feeling ok.
