If you're worried about it, why not just worm her? I mean worming tablets/paste aren't that expensive for just one cat. Okay as for if she has worms, let me make a list here.

Roundworms: loss of appetite, or a sphagetti-length worm found in her stools (poop) or in her vomit.
Tapeworms: (which are contracted from fleas) rice-like worms on her anus, in her stools or around where she sleeps, plays etc.
Other indicators to worms can be soft stools, mucus in the stools, vomitting or diarrhea.

If you're really worried, yes a vet can do a test with a stool sample that your cat generously provides. Hope this helps =)

I also thought I'd pass on a tip for any of you cat owners out there. Ringworm is actually not a worm (despite it's name). It's actually a fungal infection (kind of like tinea infection in humans). So treatment of worms will not prevent it.

There is a possibility of worms. Hook worms are the worst kind that cats get the most. Hook worms will weaken the cat and make it die a slow death if not treated. They can also get heart worms too but heart worms don't make them rub their butt.

Most likely she has worms. Usually you can see them. Either she will be throwing them up or they will be coming out of her rear end. I know it's gross but that's true. Take her to the vet they can give you a pill for all the worms. That's what they give my cat one time and he had no more problems.

When she goes to the bathroom, (solids), look at her stool, you should see the evidence in there...

I wish you well...
