I'm running a poker comparison site and would like to promote it using Yahoo Pay-Per-Click. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to do so as it's against their policy. I'm surpise to see how many poker site actually advertise on Yahoo PPC, can any body tell me why they are allowed even if it's against Yahoo policy. Does anybody know any other way to promote gambling related website?

I think the first thing you should do is to make a good affiliate program, look at other online gambling resources, it will cost you pennies, and you'll pay as you have income. What about Yahoo, just try not to inform them the essence of your biz, I am sure if you report to Yahoo all the other gambling resources advertised there, they will stop their presence there. Pay per click? You'll lose your money, press on affiliate program, connect adult websites and other sites with good traffic, offer them your affiliate program. Tell them they're gonna make money with you, as people whom they invite will have fun & loose their money on your website. Another good thing is to buy a rating at gambling web information resources. Ok, look so far you havent gotten any good tips, so listen up! First off Google Ads does not allow casino or gambling advertisements related websites. Now you need to get yourself noticed on other peoples websites. Have them link back to you.

There are a number of free resources available to advertise your website and increase traffic. You can advertise on relevant free classifieds ( www.craigslist.org) ,directories (dmoz) and relevant forums. Major search engines like Yahoo, Google , MSN search are a major source of visitors for most websites and you can submit your website to these search engines for free. You can also run contests offering prizes to regular visitors. I have found the following website useful

i know when another big poker site first started they got there posters put up inside the door of every toilet cubicle in most pubs bars and restaurants that i went in. It was probably hard work but it sure worked.
