In relevations it says...that the twleve tribes ...the 144,000 will recieve the mark on thier heads right before the end of times....but again a nother passage say's...that there will be the mark of the Beast...either on the hand or one the head. I guess my chances of being one of the 144,000 from the twelve tribes....are very slim...but if I were to receive the mark on my head...how would I know it's the mark of my God?...the Devil will be given power and wil decieve many, how am I too know???

The bible talks of the saints of God being ressurected at the sound of the last trumpet... the 144,000 people who have qualified to take on the mantle of incorruptibility - or become spiritual beings to reign with Christ in his Kingdom which descends to Earth... the New Jerusalem...

Even if you are not among the 144,000, you do not need to be upset...

Coz the resurrection of the saints is the first ressurection. then Satan will be bound up for a priod of a thousand years during which time the remaining two-thirds of the people remaining aliveon this earth after the times of tribulation will be given the opportunity to learn and understand and receive the true message of the gospel without the hindrance of Satan's presence.

At the end of a thousand years, Satan will be loosed for a season ( a short space of time) and will go around the world deceiving many and shall turn a lage number of people away from Christ and shal march up against the city of Jerusalem in order to overthrow God.

Christ destroys the invading army (who will never again be resurrected since they were given their chance and chose to battle God) They dont roast in hell for ever. They are just deleted. No Kind and loving God would want to see is creation suffer for all eternity.

At the end of the season, Satan is bound and put away for all time and his power is completely eradicated. Then comes the second ressurection, where every other human being who ever lived and died on this planet is brought back from the grave and here is where the White throne Judgement comes in.

The WHite Throne Judgement is where the Books (Note BookS - plural) are opened and everyone who is found in the book of life shall be accepted into the kingdom of God. NOTE VERY CAREFULLY... the Bible never says that the rest shall burn in hell... in fact the biblical translation of hell just means the grave... and elsewhere, the Bible states that there is no thought or life in the grave.

When you de, you dont go to heaven or hell... for only God and his angels and Christ reside in Heaven, no one else have ever had their spirits visit that place... the bible clearly says so... the bible also says that when you die, you next state of consciousness is when you awaken into Christs kingdom, whetheryou have been good or bad.

If your name is not found in the book of life, you are shown the correct path, given the opportunity to turn away (repent) of your sins and either accept of reject Christs word. If you fail, you are tossed into a lake of fire... key words to remember... where the beast and the false prohet WERE... or used to be. Because even people as evil as they were instantly destroyed. No pain, just instant obliteration.

Hint. you would recognise the beast power by the miracles he performs.. unlike Christs, none shall prove fruitful... Ad Christ only returns at the sound of the last trumpet. If you here no trumpets when the antichrist arrives you know it is not He. Also there would be the two witnesses taht shall announce the return of the real Christ who will be killed and after three and a half days, will rise from the dead again

I hope this has been helpful

I have no doubt that you will know the difference between the mark of God's or of Satan's. God does not need your permission to place his mark upon your forehead. While on the other side you must accept Satan's, mark of your own free will. I know that you will never do that. Another thing the 144,000 is not what many people think that it is, for only one of the tribes were Jews, The other 11 were not, So your chance of becoming one of the 144,000 is lot better than you might believe. Good Luck........

Please note that the book of Revelation is full of symbols and rich illustrations. There are many truths to the meaning behind every symbol and illustrations, which can also be cross-referenced to other books in the Bible. Not all of these symbols and illustrations are to be taken literally.

Without the mark of the Beast (noted as 666) in those times, one will not be able to do the routine / basic and necessary activities such as purchasing goods. That is one of the (devil's) ways of how persecution would come upon God's people in the latter days.

The figure 144,000 does not literally mean that only 144,000 number of people would receive a mark/seal.

The figure 144,000 (12 * 12 * 1000 = 144,000) signifies a complete / full / perfect number of people who are chosen of God. They are the ones who follow after God whole-heartedly and are genuine towards Him in Christ. It doesn't merely mean that the number of people from the 12 physical Hebrew tribes. If you study the Bible in more detail, it once was mentioned that God's people who are in Christ are also known as the children of Abraham.

The devil will be given power to deceive many ... Yes, that will come in its fullest measure in the end of days. We need to be careful and be on guard at all times, so as to not give way to the enemy or their deceptions. With the Holy Spirit as your guide and with God's presence, you will never go wrong. I'm learning to do this too.

All the best! =)

The twelve tribes of Israel. If it is God that puts a mark on your forehead, more like the seal of the covenant.the world wont know about it. If it is the mark of the beast, He will force everyone to have the mark world wide. Probably a micro-chip, where you cant buy or sell anything. More like a world government. The devil already has some of that power, by deceiving the world that God loves everyone. NOt true, God said Jacob I loved and esau I hated. Then in proverbs 6 19-
There are sisx things the Lord hates, yea even seven are an abomination unto Him. That is the lie that is being fostered today that Jesus and God loves everyone.

The 12 tribes spoken of in Revelation the 144,000 I believe are the jews, but read further on in Rev. 7:9 it speaks of "the mixed multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes......" those are us !!! As long as we remain faithful to Jesus, we receive His seal/mark. I believe the rapture will take place before the Anti-Christ does his marking. Remember we'll have 3 1/2 years of peace first before the 3 1/2 years of torment. Throught scripture, whenever there was a famine, God always provided for His people. Always He says "Fear not". Trust Him, He will never see the righteous forsaken. May God keep you in the palm of His hand.

You ought not to take everything in the Bible exactly as it is written. 144,000 is a symbolic way of speaking about a complete number of people. In the Jewish culture 12 refers to completeness; 12 tribes, 12 patriarchs, 12 apostles etc. 144,000 is 12 * 12 * 1000 i.e. a complete number.
Also I very much doubt that the marks spoken about will be visible signs on our foreheads. I think you should just concentrate on trying to be good. Leave all that stuff for the experts

I know, but its a really trippy book generally don't you think?
Were you show this passage by another person? If yes ask why they showed you that part and not any of the more uplifting passages. If no then find a more inspiring passage. I only ask as in my experience there are certain arms of christianity that play on the fears of the followers. In my opinion for control purposes.
You have to watch for that.

How I understand it is that the 144,000 are the ones who are going to be saved!! Just let Jesus be your Saviour...then your chances won't be slim!! You will be persecuted by the evil one because of your faith in the Lord...the devil will use someone and he will perform many wondrous things...this will make all the people love him and worship him...they say that he's gonna come to power by bringing supposed peace to everyone!! But like it says in the Bible: "For many will say 'I am Christ...come' and will deceive many."
So you'll know if you haven't received the mark of the devil is if you get persecuted and killed for your belief in the Lord!!

please understand this about the marks - they're not stamps or tattoos. the mark on your head is your brain - how you think, act and speak; the mark on your hand is how you work - what you do with your hands.
you'll know the mark in your head is about darkness if you are constantly doing dark things for whatever reason - money, power, sex and have no problem hurting others for your own gain.
Conversly, you'll know you have a mark from God if that is your foundation and you follow as faithfully as you can and do your best to live by God's principles.

The christians are chrismated and marked by the seal of the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Confirmation.

The seal of the beast will be a travesty of this sacrament just as the black mass is an infernal travesty of the Holy Mass.

Hope this gives you some hints.
