You're supposed to use heavy whipping cream not milk. With milk it will never thicken. You may as well throw it all out.

Add that to your coffee, you will never get it to whip. Next time, use heavy cream, whip in a chilled metal or glass bowl that is absolutely free of grease or oil(chill in your freezer for a bit or fill with ice then wipe out). When the cream starts to thicken (use a mixer this takes a while by hand) basically is now twice its beginning thickness, add several tablespoons powdered sugar and two tsp. good vanilla. Continue to whip until the cream holds it shape and looks like whip cream. When you put your spoon in it, it should hold a peak. Be alert that you don't over whip and it goes to butter, but if you do, squeeze out the liquid with a clean cotton cloth and use on cornbread (or any bread).

Remember that whipped cream isn't Cool-Whip, its a natural product and its not going to have the lifespan. Use immediately!

Whipped cream is made from "heavy whipping cream". Store-bought milk has the cream already removed before it reaches the shelves!! Whip the cream and add only a small amount of sugar. Vanilla makes it so flavorful that it will take away from what you're putting it on!!

Bless your heart whipped cream is exactly what it sounds like. You are using milk you need to use heavy whipping cream. The next time you make it make sure that your bowl and your beaters are cold put them in the freezer for 10 minutes. Keep truing it will work out you just need cream not milk.

Start over.
Chill your beaters.
Chill the bowl.
Make sure the bowl is absolutely clean and oil free.
Pour chilled cream into the chilled bowl. Insert beaters into mixer, start on low, bringing up the speed to high. Slowly fold in sugar and vanilla.
Do not add milk.
Enjoy!

Beat it for a long time. I'm curious as to why you put milk in it, though. Are you using milk instead of whipping cream?

forget about it you already screwed it up with the milk
it will never get thick now.

whipped cream is double cream (when you buy it it looks solid in the container ,almost like white butter),add some sugar ,maybe vanilla powder and beat it for a long time with a hand beater or an double electric one at medium spead.

Sorry to tell you this but milk won;t do. Need "heavy whipping cream". It's available in the dairy case at the supermarket.

If you used regular milk you'll be beating harder than Kevin Federline on a Friday night. Use heavy whipping cream. Technically you can do it by hand, but I'd use a machine, unless you need up build up your forearms.

Get a pint of heavy whipped cream add some vanilla to it and shake it up. I make it reguarly at my work place. Milk will not thicken.
