Which gun do you perfer best?
The Glock 9mm, the Smith and Wesson 9mm or the Sig Sauer 9mm?
Which gun would you be most afraid to see in the hands of a perp you engage?
#1 a Socom .45 or USP .45
#2 a Glock 9mm
#3 a Desert Eagle .50 Caliber
#4 a 5/7
from what I've seen of bullet resistant vests, they don't protect against .50 cal rounds and they can't stop a 5/7 either.

I'm not a cop but I have been dealing with firearms and have either owned or at least fired one of each of these at some time or another.
As a user I would cary a S&W 9mm. The Glock is too top heavy and unwieldly. The Sig would be a close second.
As far as what I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of, well the 5.7 is up there with the 20 and 30 round magazine capacities but the Desert Eagle with its powerhouse of a round is just frightening. You see them shooting it with 1 hand in the movies, yah don't belive it unless it is someone like Arnold. That thing kicks. I have had mine for several years and can't even consider trying it with 1 hand. As for the 5.7 punching through armor, well unless they have some of the early ammo or have gotten it from a cop then it won't punch through. The current ammo is made so it won't. ATF makes certain of that.

The Glock 9mm is the best gun for a cop and for the enemy as well. It is effective and disastrous when hitting the target. Bullet vest is futile if the target is the head.

What a pity. It is no wonder a lot of Americans are gun totting empty heads. It is all a lot of you can think and talk about. Cop or No Cop. Catch a grip there is more to life than guns and bullets.

i wouldnt perfer any of those options for a sidearm, i will stick with my beretta px4 storm and i would be concerned (not afraid) if i saw a perp with a desert eagle in their hands.

a gun is a gun, every time someone pulls one id be afraid.
but bigger ones make bigger holes.
i like the sig, but my favorite hand gun is the colt model 1911.
