I am a teenager girl from India. We are planning to move to Canada.I would like to know which city of Canada is more suitable for settlement- Toronto or Vancouver? Why?
I have also heard that people of other cultures are discriminated and ill-treated quite often there. Is it true?Any solution?

Vancouver is a nice place to visit (been there twice). Beautiful sceneries (mountains, oceans, etc) and a whole lot of Asians. The climate is moderate (not cold, nice hot summer and oh a lot of rain). I'm not sure if the employment rate is good there but based on a couple friends who live there, it's not the greatest. I live in the Greater Toronto area. Toronto's a big and vibrant city It's multicultural as well. The employment rate is okay here I guess. It's much colder out here during the winter months than it is in Vancouver. But anyway, hope you'll like the place where you choose to live.

Canada is good for living and employment, but the immigration visa process time is about 2 - 4 years. Unlike you said, there is no descrimination, they are strictly following national and intrnational laws. Indians have article 14, 15, 16 - 32 which are all emphasising and granding equality and freedom, but it may not be there. Even some villages have descrimination in the name of caste and religion. You have escaped from the Indians, god hekped you lot.

I immigrated myself 12 years ago and love it here in Vancouver. It's the best place to live. Weather is not that bad. It doesn't snow that much. Multicultural and there are a lot of Asians. So far I haven't been discriminated. Hope that helps.
