Innocence is bliss but ignorance isn't. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse to break it. Neither is ignorance on good manners, behavior and etiquette .If one is ignorant, one should make every efforts to pursue the knowledge and truth to abate this problem. And one shouldn't let pride get in the way.;to admit that one is ignorant.

Sometimes, ignorance is equated with stupidity. Stupidity indicates more of a mental defficiency or mental state. while ignorance hopefully is only a temporary state. Although most of the times, stupidity refers to the action and not to the personality of the person. as when one says that was a very stupid thing to do.

Hi, I don't know if you would even read this answer or not.

I think that ignorance is only bliss when knowledge can be a pain. Suppose X's spouse is having an affair with someone. As long as X does not know about it, things'd be cool for X. Once X gets to know about it, s/he would be devastated.

Another gross example. You were having a nice soup. You were enjoying having it. Later your mom comes and screams!! She had seen your cat Matilda licking the soup. You were happily having it. Now since you know the reality, you are gonna have problem.

Ignorance may or may not be a bliss....depending on knowledge being pain or not.

If the answer to this question is yes, then why was America discovered or why did we go to the moon? No, the human brain is such that we must learn all we can in our own specific fields.

It could be if you stay ignorant and never ever find out the truth. But if you do, man, sometimes it can hurt real bad.

Yes, ignorance is a bliss.
I was ignorant and was happy, now I am not ignorant and I am unhappy.
So I'll try to be ignorant again.
Try it yourself!

Absolutely! Think of how happy you were, hypothetically, BEFORE the doctor told you that you needed life-saving surgery.
