You haven't given enough information for me to make that judgment. There are so many factors that contribute to the delinquency of our youth, but genes and parenting are up there in importance. The past, however, is not changeable, so do not concern yourself with what you might have done better, but rather what is the best course of action for today and the future. Retrospect is only of value if it helps you make better choices in the future. What are those better choices??? Who knows??? None of us were given an operators manual for our lives. We just go through life doing what we think is the right thing for us to do at the time. We often later realize we were wrong.

Well since I don't know what kind of parenting skills you have nor is my name God, judgment isn't mine to make.

I have no idea what they are incarcerated for so the best person to ask that question to is yourself.

So many factors play into this question that it is almost loaded !

1. How old are you?
2. How old is the oldest?
3. How old is the youngest?
4. How were you raised?
5. Are you a single parent?
6. Where is dad?...
The list could go on and on.

I am sure tho, that you have done all that you can or you wouldn't be here asking.
Don't be to hard on your self. Boys these days are so hard to raise. It is like we no longer have any control. We aren't even supposed to spank our kids!

So mom, search inside your heart and find the answer there.

I hope this helps and you can accept you!

God bless!

Why do you have 5 kids in the first place? Parenting one or two is a hassle enough for most. I won't go into much detail.

+50% Genetics
+50% Environment

= Personnality

Granted even if you live in a well to do neighbourhood their friends may have influenced them. A good parent would normally notice changes in their child's behaviour and would have disciplined them accordingly before anything worse happened.

Not necessarily. Everyone has free agency, or the will to choose for themselves what their lives will be.

Can you be a better mother? Only you and your children can answer that.

What about the father, you can't shoulder all the blame for how your kids turn out.

If you raised them right. There is no way to control their actions, you just have to hope they listen to what you taught them.
